I'm new to the hobby of scroll sawing. Not sure if it was something I was really going to like, I decided not to buy a $600 machine. I've been making small ornaments from patterns. So far, I'm very happy with this tool. The only thing I could see that might be a problem is, if you have big hands and fingers, blade changing could be difficult. I've also found that using plain end blades is easier than pin end. I bought a foot pedal too. Makes it easy to stop the blade if your cut is running off of the line. For a beginner, I think it's a great saw to start out with.
if you takea small clamp and grip the plain end blade so the bottom just goes beyond the set screw on the bottom. you rest the clamp on the table then just snug fit the set screw and with other hand hold the blade so it does not come out and set the screw. then just tighten the top and your done. for those of you who are conplaining about blade changes should think of doing something else, it's not that hard. most of the time if the saw stops there is a fuse where the comtrolls are just undo the 4 screws and put in a new fuse done. other wise the saw is cheap and really not that bad. i use it about 15 to 20 hours a week. bettrer buying this than spending big bucks on a dewalt
Very nice saw. The dust blower could blow a little better, but I believe that is my only complaint. Power is good - use it for hobbies and have cut up to 3/4 inch pine with no problem! Good saw for a good deal!

This is my first scroll saw and it is great ans easy to set up and use, Great for beginner and pros alike, and best of all variable speed! lets you cut medium size projects while 90% of the machine is cast metal not plastic so it will hold up well. I love the Vacuum connection on the from and it allows the sawdust to be collected rather than have to take the plate off at regular intervals and clean, Overall Great Saw and Highly recommend!
This is a good scroll saw for the beginner low vibration if mounted right blade chance could be easier but not to difficult to change if you have trouble with this saw then there is something wrong with your skills I would have liked to have a work light dust blower is ok for a bellows blower it still does the job I want it to do
My husband had been wanting a Scroll saw for some tasks that he has wanted to complete. I found this one for him and we purchased it. He has been happy with it this far, it has made his life easier!
The blower didn't work but having read the other reviews it wasn't worth the hassle will probably add something from my compressor. Could have used a light as others have suggested. This is my first scroll so will use it to get smart to decide whether I need a better unit or a band saw.
This is a real great saw for what I need it for. I am into a hobby and it is High Power Rockets. This saw helps with cutting my centering rings and cutting out my rocket fins. I would recommend this scroll saw to everyone.
