What Do You Expect?
I have pressure washed professionally and don't understand most of those who wrote criticisms. Pressure cleaners are rated concerning expected pressure output @ the tip. You're not going to remove paint from concrete block with this model. Buy one more powerful, if that is your aim. I like the "steam cleaning" feature of this and the fact that it is electric (plug it in, hook up water supply, & go!). I own two gas powered Pressure washers which I use for different purposes.

An Overpriced and Underpowered Tangled Mess
This is a cute little pressure washer with a small footprint that simply was horribly designed. As other reviewers have noted, the storage rack on the unit fails to hold anything, and between the extra steam cleaning hose and nozzle, lack of hose storage and poor cord storage, the unit sits in a tangled mess of its own cords and accessories in the corner of the garage. Dragging it anywhere is a pain since nothing actually stays affixed or tied up on the unit, and on my unit also, dragging is a key word as the wheels would not stay on no matter what I did. Once you have it in place, the poor hose design becomes a factor as you have your garden hose affixed to the front and the pressure hose affixed to the rear, creating another hose management nightmare as you can't simply roll the unit anywhere--it's a pick up and carry option only. In operation, it's fairly quiet (as pressure washers go) and assembles easily. The hose is long enough for the job and I liked the quick-change tips, metal want, and on-wand storage for the tips even though they often would snag on something and get popped out. The front detergent cup and rear distilled water cup also have a habit of popping out with minimal effort. The unit overall is weak and even with the max pressure head (red), it has very little cleaning power. Compared to a similarly-priced Karcher it's positively anemic when it comes to cleaning power and output pressure. It works, but it's definitely not worth the price considering you can pay the same overall price and get the lower model of this unit that has the pressure wash feature only, and a separate steam cleaner, and avoid the spaghetti monster of hoses and cords from this unit. The 1700 PSI rating is only with the narrow spray tip and even then it feels under powered and hardly capable of serious cleaning tasks. I found myself trying to clean grime off by going back and forth with a pencil-thick stream of water, and still simply scrubbing it off by hand. The included spin "turbo" wand was slightly better at cleaning backyard grime but not by much, and it removes your ability to quick-change tips as it replaces the metal wand. I was disappointed that there were no white (40 degree) or green (25 degree) tips included, but with this unit's output pressure it's probably not a big deal since you simply won't get enough pressure to damage anything like paint unless it's already peeling off. I did not try the steam cleaning function as I simply cannot get myself motivated enough to attempt to move the unit anywhere. I'd have to reattach one of the wheels that fell off (again), tie up the power cord, wrap the pressure hose around the top handle, rearrange the various nozzles that simply won't stay attached, and then literally carry the entire menagerie somewhere just to--scrub off some mildew? I'd rather hook up a high-pressure nozzle to the garden hose, and I'm not sure there would be much difference in cleaning ability. For a homeowner looking for something that does nothing more than wash cars and rinse off patio furniture it will do the job well, but look for the non-steam-cleaning model that eliminates at least some of the extraneous baggage that complicates operation and mobility of this unit. For serious cleaning jobs (and the ability to move it more than 5 feet without something falling off) it simply won't fit the bill unless you have the patience of a saint.

Never turned it on

Bought this because I thought it would be more convenient to store and use than my gas unit. After assembly, I realized how poorly it was designed. The cheap plastic rack does a poor job of holding everything, the emplements don't fit well and fall off. The power cord with the monster safety control takes up more room than the hose. After reading the other reviews regarding poor performance I felt it was not worth the effort of firing it up. My thought is " poor quality on the outside means poor quality on the inside". I will make a spot for my gas washer that is convenient to get to.

Electric pressure washer

This has been very useful, I have used it to clean my bbq grill and have also washed my vehicles with it and have not had any problems. It does take distilled water but that is very inexpensive.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Just What I Needed!

I purchased this yesterday and tried it out today. I pressure washed my concrete patio (which hadn't been cleaned in 4 years) and it worked great. I didn't use any soap or cleaner and it cleaned the concrete very well with just plain water. The only issue I have is with the cord and hose storage. I guess who ever designed that part of this unit didn't try it out before putting it on the market. But overall, this is a great unit.

This is a waste of time

This unit has no power at all!!   It took 10 minutes to clean a single board on my deck.  At that rate I'd be dead of old age before the job got done!  I'm returning this excuse for a pressure washer.  I would not reccommend this inadequate waste of time to anyone.  I am upset that Craftsman has lowered its quality to the level of an outright sham.

I have a Honda powered 2500 psi I bought from Sears a decade ago but with the advent of ethanol gasoline it died quickly, but it would clean a board in two 6 to 10 second passes and my deck in less than an hour.
