Craftsman  17'' Compact Truck Box

I bought it to store wrenches in my vehicle.

This small tool box can be used for storing a few tools or pretty much anything, I use it to carry light tools I only need for a job , instead of bringing my whole tool box. It's a good container, but I suspect what will happen is the plastic latch on the cover will snap off eventually from opening and closing, my other one did. No one else makes one like this so for eight dollars, it is what it is.

Possibly my favorite item ever. I have about 5 of these boxes, and love them. They are made in USA, are heavy duty, fit perfectly under many seats, have wonderful latches and hinges, both of which are actually seperate pieces that pivot, rather than flex, so they are in it for the long haul. many competitors boxes will sag, distort, age, crack, etc. these are great, long lasting, tough, strong boxes. one of the best items i have bought from sears, not kidding.

I purchased the full size box first and realized that it is too big. so i went back to sears and purchase the compact size. i also bought one as a gift for a friend ( it makes perfect gifts). i use my tools almost everyday and i do different task. so this box allows me to be efficient and easy to change out tools constantly. IT fits under the seat and its light weight compared to the standard due to limiting the tools you carry. i do enjoy it and if the box does ever break<extremely durable>, it will be the best price, so you can go wrong.

I have had one of these boxes for over ten years, and it is pretty much unbreakable.. It is very light and easy to slide under most truck seats. It fit perfectly under the "floor extensions" that folded under my Dodge Ram 3500 rear seats. Mine fit there when we had a fifth-wheel RV. It holds a full set of short 3/8" SAE and Metric sockets, plus some wrenches and slip-joint pliers. I am getting ready to re-purpose mine for woodcarving tools and projects when I go to my Thursday meetings. Get one, you won't be sorry.

17" Craftsman box is durable and compact ! This box is perfect to throw under a truck seat or in a car trunk. It easily fits ratchets and sockets on storage rails or wrench and screwdriver sets!

Craftsman 17 inch Compact Truck Underseat Tool Box - I have had one for many years and it has lasted without a problem and has not broken.  In the past year I have bought two more. 

The latch mechanism has recently changed but seems just as durable as my original one.

I bought this box to hold a basic set of tools in my truck(07 Ford Ranger). I needed something compact to fit in my regular cab Ranger. This box fits very well behind my seat and fits the basic tools I feel I need to keep on hand. I'm glad that it's made in USA, too.

I've had this small box for over 5 years now and just had to add a review telling how wonderful it has been for me. I have had this thing loaded with many tools (weighing a lot!) and take it with me everywhere I go in the car, home, etc.. Very nice and convenient that it can fit underneath car seats, saving room. This thing is amazingly sturdy, made with quality, durable material.

I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a portable toolbox.
