Personally, while being on sale, I have about a dozen of these and labeled, use for specific item storage... plumbing, electrical, chainsaw items, computer stuff, specialty tools/items, etc. Some I have put scrap carpet padding in the bottom which helps pad certain items better. Lined up on a shelf, with labels on the end, it is grab and go. Although I don't overload, nor are they thrown around in the back of the truck everyday, these always close nicely and are durable. Since these are single latch, for heavier items, I would buy the 20 inch size with double latches. That said and for whatever reason, this box has been about half price at Kmart and for around $7, it is an excellent buy for usage, durability, gift, etc., and/or for a cart filler to reach whatever quota for discount/points, free delivery, etc. On the other hand, Sears often has the 20 inch, with double latches for around $10 and also an excellent deal. As a gift, I put other items inside and with a wire tie through the latch locking hole, no wrapping required, while some I have given away have become storage for home tools that many keep in the house for their 'significant other' to use.

There are two types of tool boxes/totes that I like. I like the Hard plastic tool box because it is light weight and can hold a lot of tools. The tools are secure and will not spill out.The only draw back is when the tool you want is on the bottom, you might not see it. I also like open totes, but only for around the house.

These are good little boxes for the money. Use them for all kinds of stuff. Great to have some portable boxes around. Buy a few of them when they are on sale,

I picked up four of these on a special price deal to toss stuff in and put in my motorhome. They fit perfectly. They appear to be of good construction, and I think they will serve me well for years.
Hi all. I purchased this to be used as a Storage Case. For my Makita 4 1/2" Angle Grinder. Fits good. Its one of those tools that its hard, If not impossible to find a case made specifically for it. So I have to go the "Universal" route. I can store the Grinder, Tools, And some of the Accessories. The only way to make it better would be to have Metal Hinges instead of Plastic. I may "Modify" it later.

My sons are both in college and I started buying them 1 tool each year at Christmas. This is the perfect size to house the starter tool kit. My husband saw it and requested one to replace his portable took box. My only regret is that I didn't order a couple of extra ones for those last minute gifts.
I figured these tool boxes had to be tough since they're Craftsman so I bought me one. In fact, I bought a second for my Son. When they arrived, I was not disappointed. Very nice tool boxes.
I was having tools and screws etc lying around in so many different boxes. This tool box helped me fit all the tools into 1 box. However when I visited KMart the other day - I saw a 20" box which would have been a better buy but just make sure u have a big shelf or proper place to keep the bigger box. Though smalller - This is a good buy nevertheless.
