Great Little Tool Box

This is a great tool box. I like how they stack well. I bought 8 all together. 4 for gifts and three for myself.

Caution - Don't buy

I have an older 17" Craftsman tool box that was sturdy and served me well for many years, but I needed a new one and this was the closest replacement Sears now carries. It is a Big Disspointment. It feels cheap, not sturdy, and I had doubts whether it would bear up once loaded with my tools. It did not. The latch popped open as I was carrying it I was barely able to set it down before losing my tools. I have to keep the lock in it to prevent it from popping. The small parts bins on the top may be handy but the depressions on the shell to house them extend too deeply inside, taking away any height that might be provided by the lid. If the tools in the inner tray are higher than the lip of the bottom the lid will not close completely or tightly. This causes a lose of about 2 inches in height in tool carrying capacity of the inner tray. Overall, I wish I would have gotten a different tool box, and am looking to replace it after a weeks use.

Adequate

I was disappointed to find that none of the Craftsman toolboxes are made in the USA. This one is made in Mexico. The quality is average. The tray is sturdy enough, but when you shut the lid sometimes it doesn't line up exactly right. The problem corrects itself when you latch it. The reason I chose this one vs. ones at ********** and ***** in this price range is that at least this one has a metal latch instead of plastic.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
