my favorite tool
I chose this nailer since you could use nails over two inches in length in it. I do a lot of home improvement work in and around the house and this is tool I use most often. It is easy to use and not a bad price either!

Too many Jams
Tool starting jamming up the first time that I used it. At first I thought perhaps I was hitting something hard, like another nail, but after more use, the tool began to jam at the rate of 1 per every 3 attempts. With no un-jamming mechanisms, besides the 4 hex screws, each jam added about 5 minutes to the project time. A project requiring more than a few nails quickly becomes rather time consuming. I replaced this model with a Dewalt D51238K, and I have not experienced a single jam in over 100 tries. Based on my other tool experiences with Dewalt vs Craftsman, I am guessing that the better success rate with the Dewalt will continue.

Great tool!

I can't believe I've been crawling around on my hands and knees with a hammer and a nail set for all these years. Light weight, easy to set nail depth, complete instruction for the first time user. I was flying through my tongue-and-groove panelling project after just a couple minutes of reading and test shots. And a great buy at 30% off! I'll be shopping for more Craftsman air tools in the future.

Craftsman Tools are VERY Reliable

I bought this Brad Nailer for my husband as a gift and he's loved it! Craftsman tools have always been very reliable and trustworthy! I have always loved going to Sears to purchase tools for my husband because the workers there have been very knowledgeable and helpful in making a selection that would be best for my husband and his needs. Thanks Sears!

Craftsman 18 GA Brad Nailer

I had the choice of getting the stand alone Brad nailer, or getting the 2 in one with a narrow crown stapler.  I had no use for the stapler, so I opted to spend just a few dollars less and get the Brad nailer only.  I have been very pleased with the performance of my new nailer.  It is very light weight, and is one of the only power tools my wife likes to use.  I am a Craftsman guy and my garage is proof of that.  This is another great addition to my shop that delivers great performance!!

Overall
This 18 gauge Brad Nailer is an excellent value for the price.

This brad nailer is generally a good tool, and a must have for any DIYer. I especially like the depth adjustment. This is my second Craftsman Brad Gun. It has better features than my old one that lasted probably about 10 years. My only regret is that it doesn't do staples like my old one. But it will do longer brads. Based on the limited use so far, I would recommend this tool.

Easy to use.

This Craftsman brad nailer is my first trim gun and i have used it a lot for big and small projects. i have had problems finding longer staples which i prefer over nails in most cases. nails are great when working with small projects but they tend to pull thru the board unless glue is also used.

Above Average Nailer

Good product. Used frequently after Hurricane Ike.  The only problem I had was that it hangs up occasionally.

Overall
Craftsman 18 ga. Brad Nailer Kit is a great item.

I have used this nail gun on a few different projects and it performed flawlessly...I have had zero jams and no issues from this unit. I have used it on hard woods and soft woods, and it has worked well. I was skeptical about all the "jamming" reviews I read, but for the price I took the chance and it works fine.
