      Wonderful Saw- For the Money
I picked up this saw about 3 years ago and have used the heck out of it. I cut about 4 cords a year and it has worked very well. But let's face it, this is NOT a professional saw and anyone expecting it work like one is unrealistic. But if you do a couple of things it cuts very well and is quite reliable. 1. Keep a sharp chain on it. For whatever reason the chain this saw uses dulls pretty quick. I personally keep 3 chains and have a sharpener. 2. Keep your bar oil topped off. If you run out you toast your chain and bar. 3. Keep the roller tip lubed. 4. Clean the air cleaner- it collects a lot of junk where it sits. 5. Optional- go to a 16" bar and chain. The saw is better suited, power wise, for the 16" setup. I felt the 18" bar was pretty flimsey. So basically there aren't any real earth shattering suggestions here- JUST MAINTAIN YOUR SAW. It will cut very well for the average homeowner for a long time.

      Disappointed
The engine was hard to start and once start it was stop running after a sshort run. I used the new gas and mixed 40:1 properly. I returned the product and found out they only exchanged the products. They gave me replacement with no problem but they will not give me refund. I exchanged twice.

      chain saw 18"

Hard to start, but you learn by reading the instructions MEN. Buy good chains, oil chain. use new fuel(no ethol gas). Corn mix. Good chain saws.

Good easy-to-use chainsaw for the money

Took a little work to get started at first, but runs great now. Cut up an entire fallen tree without trouble. The chain's pretty dull already, but that's the low-kickback chain for you. If it bothers you, you can get other chains elsewhere. Great for us on an emergency basis, would probably get something more powerful if we cut all our own firewood regularly.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      great value

I bought this saw from a friend who only had it 6 months and used it once. i struggled at first to get it started but once i did it usually only takes me 3-4 pulls anymore. also had the blade fall off on second cut but that was probably my fault for not checking tension before i started. i knew nothing about putting the blade back on but with the manuals help and the useful tool that came with it i got it back on relatively easy. ever since then ive had no issues with it and have cut down some rather thick trees. The case and extra blade are really nice extras

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Cuts like a knife through butter

I bought it for several reasons: 1) the most obvious--it has two chain sizes for those smaller or larger projects; 2) it has a case which protects your investment in this chain saw; 3) the warranty--2-year/10-year engine crank shaft; 4) the price and value as it was also on sale. Don't forget to buy some chain oil, 2-cycle oil for mixing gas and a 1-2 gallon gas can. It cut through 6-10" fallen tree limbs like knife through butter. I hope I don't have to, but the manual or promo video said it can handle up to 36" trees!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
