Nice wrench!

I purchased this product for a tie-rod installation and it worked great! This is not a tool that I plan to use very often but its nice to know that I have a quality wrench in my toolbox when I need it. The adjustment is very clean and tight--not sloppy like some adjustable wrenches.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Made in the USA

I wanted this wrench to complete my set as I own every size from 15" down to 6" that serve me well. This 18" will not see as much use but is indispensable when needed. The handle is slightly tapered that will fit nicely in a cheater pipe if needed. Please don't comment on the cheater pipe. We have all been there one time or another! It is well made and smooth to operate. The jaws line up perfectly and are absolute parallel to one another at all points of jaw travel. The finish overall is flawless and even though a wrench like this is meant to be used and destined for a few dings it is nice to get something that looks this nice new out of the box. Nothing aggravates me more than getting dinged up used looking merchandise in the mail when it is advertised as new. This wrench did not disappoint. It is flawless and looks nice in my roll away. Get this while you can as I have heard Sears may be considering dropping the 18" from their lineup. In fact at one point earlier in the month this item disappeared from the online availability but luck for me reappeared and I quickly pulled the trigger to place my order. I do not foresee a situation that would ever cause me to exercise the warranty for this wrench under moderate use. It is my opinion that it would take some serious abuse to trash this wrench. Buy it while you can you will not be disappointed!

A tool to keep for "just in case"

Adjustable wrenches are not usually the first choice when planning to work on anything mechanical.  They have a habit of slipping off fasteners if you are not very careful with how you use them.  But they are extremely valuable when you encounter fasteners for which you do not have the exact wrendh size.  Nowhere is this more common than in dealing with larger fasteners (generally greater than one inch in size).  This adjustable will give you the ability to deal with those larger fasteners without having to clean out your bank account to buy the full set of sized wrenches.  Very handy to have in your tool box.

Can you really turn small fasteners with this large of a wrench?  Well, yes, the adjustment on the jaw is very precise.  You could adjust down to very small sizes.  I think you would do better to switch to a smaller adjustable if you are going to need to turn those smaller fasteners, this one is large enough that slipping off those smaller fasteners would be a problem.

Overall
it does small jobs too

Great wrench. I use this thing more than I thought I was going to. It's suprisingly light in weight for it's size which makes it easy to use. However I don't see Sears having to replace this one for breakage any time soon.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
