WORTHLESS
These batteries are the most useless items I have ever purchased. Charges do not last nor does the life of the battery. Totally not worth buying. Going back to RYOBI.

You'll get 4-5 years max

I have a drill & flashlight combo, and have gone through the original set of batteries and also a replacement set. They last about 4-5 years. You get what you pay for...or in this case, a little less.

18 Volt Battery

Have had this 18 Volt drill for about 3 years. I'm on my 2nd set of batteries and they are fading. I like the balance and feel of the drill but the batteries are suspect. Original batteries held up pretty well but the after market ones are poor at best. Also have the 19.2 craftsman drill and various other tools that fit the 19.2 system and it is worse than the 18 volt. Save your time and money and upgrade to the 18 volt dewalt you will be glad you did.

the 18 volt drill is great, but, the chargers are terrible.

I used this drill 5 times and the charger quit. I called the help desk and they told me that the drill, charger, and battery were no longer available. No repair parts either. Hmmmmmmm. This drill was less than 2 years old. I loved the balance and weight, but know I have a nice 18 volt drill and cant use it. I am a proffesional mechanic and 80% of my tools are Craftsman. I am very dissapointed with this particular product and the service I received after the sale.

The quality of this tools has no match. Just replaced a battery after 10 years of using it while doing electrical work and rehabbing kitchens and bathrooms. Highly recommend this product to contractors.

Battries are junk BUY Dewalt

I bought the Craftsman 18 volt drill and have had to replace the battries for the 4th and last time in less than 2 years. Craftsman used to be a very fine product, but have some how found a way to trash a good product and name. Switching to Dewat or Millwalkee for dependable battery powerd tools.

Overall
I hope this isn't what Craftsman is turning into.

I've had my 18v drill for a few years and it's been great, but I'm on my third battery and am now getting rid of it altogether. I'm tired of wasting my money on batteries that only hold charge for 8-10 months before they crap out. There's nothing more annoying than embarking on a small project or a quick install and having a dead battery. Most of the other brands give you 2 to start with, and they're a TON cheaper when you have to replace them. Craftsman was the brand of choice for my grandpa and dad, but so far, the Craftsman stuff I have hasn't been nearly what I expected.
