I used this drill 5 times and the charger quit. I called the help desk and they told me that the drill,charger,and battery were no longer available. No repair parts either. Hmmmmmmm. This drill was less than 2 years old. I loved the balance and weight, but know I have a nice 18 volt drill and cant use it. I am a proffesional mechanic and 80% of my tools are Craftsman. I am very dissapointed with this particular product and the service I received after the sale.

The quality of this tools has no match. Just replaced a battery after 10 years of using it while doing electrical work and rehabbing kitchens and bathrooms. Highly recommend this product to contractors.

I purchased this battery to replace one that no longer charges for my 18 volt Craftsman drill. Unfortunately, it did not fit my drill !!! Needless to say, I returned it!

I bought the Craftsman 18 volt drill and have had to replace the battries for the 4th and last time in less than 2 years. Craftsman used to be a very fine product, but have some how found a way to trash a good product and name. Switching to Dewat or Millwalkee for dependable battery powerd tools.

I've had my 18v drill for a few years and it's been great, but I'm on my third battery and am now getting rid of it altogether. I'm tired of wasting my money on batteries that only hold charge for 8-10 months before they crap out. There's nothing more annoying than embarking on a small project or a quick install and having a dead battery. Most of the other brands give you 2 to start with, and they're a TON cheaper when you have to replace them. Craftsman was the brand of choice for my grandpa and dad, but so far, the Craftsman stuff I have hasn't been nearly what I expected.

I have a combo set that uses these batteries, and now after 1.5 years I own three worthless 18 volt batteries that won't hold a charge what a huge disappointment

My Sears drill is fine, the batteries that came with it are utter and total crap. They lasted less than a year. Now they want half the price of the drill to give me another of the same batteries. Is this what Sears refers to as customer service? I grew up in a family that worshipped Sears tools: those days are gone. Garbage.

I've had my Craftsman 18 volt drill for several years, and I love it. The batteries for it, however, are a BIG disappointment. After six months to a year, they seem to degrade and won't hold much power at all. It's frustrating - and expensive - to have to buy another couple of batteries every year.

The cordless batteries only work for about a year. You can go to Battery Plus and have the battery rebuilt for about $10. These Craftsman batteries doen't live up to the name.
