This battery had been on the charger for a few days before I needed to use the weed eater. The charge didn't even last 20 minutes and the use was light during that time. If this isn't different the next time I use this battery then I will return it to the store for a refund.

This trimmer is only a couple years old - but it is already obsolete and so the replacement batteries are collector items and cost twice what the current model batteries do. My advice is to buy two replacement batteries when you get a new trimmer to save yourself down the road!!

For the money it's a rip off. This has the life of a burning match. Complete waste of money and it's far too expensive to be so useless. Charge time is excessively long and the run time is almost non existent. Sears had gone over to the cheap side - cheap quality and high prices with this battery.

Works well, but doesn't last thru a full trim in yard (so I have 2), fails to charge directly after use due to heat - needs to cool down first.

I'm buying another battery which costs nearly as much as the weedeater did to start with. I only use it to trim around a few flower beds, but it dies after 10 - 15 minutes. The charger sometimes glows red when dead & green when charged (as it should), yet other times glows green when dead & red when charged.

This battery operated line trimmer functions for only about 15 minutes and the battery runs down. I got this second battery hoping that it would last longer. It does not. I do not plan to buy another Craftsman product nor will I recommend one.

My craftsman drill has work well through the years but the battery finally gave out. It was easy just to pick up a new one and now the drill works like new again.

Bought the trimmer with battery about 3 years ago. The battery is terminally weak and will NOT suffice for any but the very smallest yards. I have a small yard covered mostly by garden. Very little grass. This thing will not even finish the front yard on a single charge. Turned your weekly landscaping job into an all-week landscaping job. Would NOT recommend for any application.

It is exactly what I was looking for. Since I come from such a small town, all we have is a small Sear catalog store here. However, I knew if I needed something for a Craftsman product, Sears would be the place to go. The sales associate was most helpful in helping me find the battery that I needed. She was not sure it would work but I told her it looked just like the old one so she told me to take it and try it. It works great! I can now use my weed whacker more than 5 minutes at a time before having to recharge the battery.
