This battery is a replacement for one purchased about 1 month ago and would not hold a charge for more than 10-15 minutes. I use it in a drill and small 5' saw and was quite disappointed at the short cycle time before needing recharge. After 10-15 recharges it started expiring quicker until I could barely use it. I hope the new one lasts longer after the charge and after many recharges.

I've used them for several years. I had one that quit charging, and I had to replace my charging unit, as it failed; but, after reading a suggestion to "jump" the 18.0 volt battery, I linked it with clips to a 12 volt car battery charger and now the battery that I thought was no longer useful, charges up just fine. I now have 4 batteries, which will help me keep one or 2 fully charged while I use one or 2 on a project! I am planning to do a little more research and see if I might be able to switch to a 19.2 volt, Lithium battery in the future. We'll see. Until then, I have 4 good batteries that I plan to keep charged up to use. The cordless, reversible, and variable speed drill was was one of the best tools anyone every gave me. I use it all the time!

This battery has the same Sanyo Sub C; cells in it (15 pcs of the 1.3A-H Sanyo Cadnica) as the original and functions perfectly!!

Apparently Craftsman changed the stock number for this battery since my last purchase of the same item about 3 years ago. It took me quite a while to figure out this is the battery I was looking for!

Although this battery will fit most craftsman 18 volt drills it will not fit in the craftsman 1 hour chargers only the 3-6 hour charger. The picture used to diplay this battery is incorrect as the notch is on the opposite side to prevent being used in a 1 hour charger because this battery has smaller plates that can not take the heat generated by the fast charger and also provides a shorter run time. If you have a drill you use a lot with the fast charger then spend a few dollars more and get the heavy duty 18 volt battery that will fit in and handle the 1 hour charger and a longer run time...
