Craftsman tool set

I have gone through a lot of tools over the years but Sears has provided me the best support and replacement of broken tools I have been working on cars for over 35 years and the tools are durable, but sometimes things break. Thank you Sears.

so far, so good.

My set just arrived yesterday so this review is strictly my first impressions.  These tools are made in the USA and appear to be very well made.  I'm happy with my purchase...

one thing- make sure you check the tools against the packing list. I received 2 15mm combo wrenches and no 16mm wrench.  I've alerted Sears.... we'll see how they handle it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

189 pieces that an empty tool box should never be without.

No empty box should ever go without this set.

This is a great start.

I gave my old box to a family member and this is where I started to build my next set.

Good tool set

I like this tool set for two reasons. Everything is 6 point which is completely superior and the set does not include a bunch of extra junk like allen wrenches for no other reason than to run up the tool count.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good sockets, OK wrenches

Overall a very good tool set. I see two pros and two cons to this set. The pros are 1. Doesn't include a bunch of allen wrenches that you won't need; 2. All sockets are 6 point, which are better in every respect than 12 point - most sets only have 12 point because they're cheaper to manufacture. The cons are 1. wrenches are 6 point too - a lot of the time this won't matter, but when it does, I bet you'll need a 12 pt because of lack of space more than you need a 6 pt because of a rusted bolt; 2. The set description says it includes all 6 pt. sockets and wrenches that craftsman manufactures, and it does... almost. There are a couple of 6 pt sockets and wrenches that it doesn't include - why not just include them, for completeness?

I would recommend this product to a friend.

awesome set

this 6 point set is great. it has mostly everything needed. it lacks a few big wrenches, but besides that it is great. It is nice to not have to ask someone else for a tool, because everything is located in the box. 6points allow for more torque power. i would recommend buying it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Somewhat Happy

Nice set with all 6 point sockets and wrenches... not a bunch of allen wrenches and stuff I already have. Somehow I recieved a 12 point 19m deep instead of 6 point and a second 3/4 wrench instead of the 7/8" I was supposed to get. Guess it could have been worse.

Another good set of tools

This set is probably one of Craftsman's best deals. All 6-pt sockets, easy to read, and drive sockets up to 1 1/8all for less than $300. Very rarely do I need to use 12-pt sockets, and 6-pt sockets seem to remove fasteners without rounding. The other benefit of this set is that it does not include a load of allen wrenches and screwdriver bits that are useless for most of the time, and run up the tool count so it looks like you're getting more tools. The only complaints are that some of the easy to read etching is smeared or has some discoloration. Also, I am not sure about the tools' quality these days. It seems like they are a little cheaper than they used to be. A good companion to these tools is the 3pc next generation fully polished ratchet set.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
