I like it!
It does everything I need for this small corner lot in the city, and the light weight is a big advantage. The edging feature works surprisingly well as does the autofeed. I estimate I get 10 + minutes on a battery charge and have no need for a second battery. It takes 3 to 4 hours to charge battery from fully depleted, and the LED on the charger changes from red to green - handy.

unpleasant surprise
I bought this trimmer several weeks ago. It does an average job - I had to go over some areas twice. Since it takes so long to charge the battery, I decided to buy an extra one. I couldn't find it online, so I called. They had it in stock - the price was $115.49 + tax!. It would be cheaper to buy another trimmer! I wouldn't have bought this trimmer if I had known what the battery cost.

Very efficient

Love the battery operated version, you can take it all over the yard and around the house without worrying about the length of the cord. Plus, it has plenty of power!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

classic look

This model is nicer than I expected. It has a "flame" feature that looks very realistic. Affordable and attractive. I am very happy with it.

Bought late Yesterday Taking back this am!!

I bought this product yesterday afternoon (late afternoon). The salesman didn't know much , very generic answers, could have gotten same info from a teen at Kmart. Should have suspected something then!! I charged the battery over night. I was very excited to get the grass trimmer!! It lasted 10 minutes!! the thing quit!! I took the battery back in checked charge still fully charged. it is the unit itself. Done! Now I have to take gas and time again today to go get another one!! Very inconvenient and frustrating!!

I'm mid seventies.   overall I like it. It works well and is light enought for me to handle.  Literature say battery lasts up to 25 minutes.. I get about half of that.  more than half the ptice for another battery, so I won't buy one.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great little trimmer and edger

This is a great little trimmer and edger but like all battery operated tools, you must follow the manufactures recommendation about charging the battery. The battery will not last long on your initial uses but after the 4th and 5th full charge, your battery will be working at its optimal output and will last much longer.  The edger wheel on this tool is a great little helper and makes edging easy on your back.  The wheel also serves as a gaurd when trimming around fences, etc. Also, this twisted line is the way to go as it trims and edges very nicely.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Loses Charge Pretty Quick

It's a good trimmer but, it lost charge fairly quickly. So, I went online to pick up an extra battery to be charging one while I trimmed with the other. Think again! The extra battery cost about $25.00 more than I paid for the trimmer and a battery! Golleee!

Craftsman 18V Grass Trimmer & Edger

This trimmer is so light weight that I can trimmer our grounds when my husband is too busy to do so. It is also very powerful and gets the job done. The fact that there are no cords and all we have to do is charge the batter is fantastic. We have always been satisfied with our purchases at sears and their craftman machinery.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
Trimmer very cheaply made

I had very high hopes for this trimmer but was disappointed with how little power it has compared to gas trimmers. Battery power is a cool concept but it only lasted about 10 minutes before it went dead. Its very cheaply made, not surprising considering its made in China. The only feature i like is the fact that it edges, other than that i would not recommend this product. Buy gas trimmers.
