I found the chain setting and adjustments very easy with the included wrench (set into the body). The chain saw is balanced well and the grips are ergonomic and solid. My typical trim work is with branches 1"-2". Due to its' lightweight, I adjusted my cutting technique and found it to be a little sawdust mill! This quiet and compact saw made quick work of my landscape maintenance while being very efficient on battery power. The chain was very sharp out of the box and for my needs, it gets the job done right.
The solid chain guard shroud protects the chain (and you) and is a quick install for storage. Due to a few persistent reviewer comments (leaking chain oil), I'll just empty the tank while in storage. Overall, this Craftsman 19.2V C3 chain saw is a winner.
I bought this because my yard was too long for a corded chainsaw and I didn't want to maintain a gas powered chain saw. I underestimated the job I had; and if I could do it over again, I'd buy a small gas powered chain saw and just deal with the mainenance fuss. It still requires chain oil (and uses a lot!). The useable time per charge with this saw is only 10 minutes or so, so plan on buying an extra battery if you have anything beyond a very small project. Otherwise, it's well - balanced, surprinsingly powerful (during that 10 minutes) and easy to use.

The power is less than what I expected. I should have purchased a small gas-powered chain saw. If it were possible to return this item I would do just that and get a little 18" gasoline chain saw.

Works great for me! I have a chipper bring all my batteries and this to the site and when I get a branch to large to feed in the chipper I just pick this up and cut it to size. No pulling to start the saw just pick up and cut. Great! I bought an extra chain and have not used it yet. I have sharpened the chain that came with the saw about 6 times already. And it has cut many many branches and some boards where necessary. If you have 19.2's just Buy it!

Works well for trimming smaller branches. Runs out the battery very quickly if trying to cut anything over 3" in diameter

My wife actually was the one that wanted the small, lightweight, cordless chainsaw when I showed it to her online. My expectations were not very high for a battery-powered chainsaw. I was impressed! She cut limbs up about 4" and the battery lasted about an hour while using it intermittently. The chain oil compartment is higher than the chain so there is a slight syphoning of the chain oil causing a very small leak. All around, we like it.

This little saw has done what i needed it to do. It cuts through the 3 - 4 inch dia tree trunks that froze and died last winter. I could cut several of those trunks on a single charge. I also use it to trim up smaller branches from trees. The only downside is you need to store the saw upright, as it could leak some oil.

This is really good for light work around the house. Its light and very easy to use on all those trees around the yard tha you keep putting off trimming up.
