I have a 1 1/2 acre lot that has wind rows of trees on two sides, a rock edger all the way around the house, and a ditch next to the road that all need trimmed. This trimmer plowed right through everything I put in its path and still had battery life left. Lightweight and durable. Easy to use, easy to retrieve string. No complaints about this trimmer at all.

I purchased this to replace a gas trimmer that was destroyed in a fire. I was amazed that it was as smooth and vibration free, as I had a electric trimmer years ago and it shook like a old Harley. I have several cordless tools and this adds to the arsensal.

Battery seems to take for ever to charge when I want to finish my light duty trimming. The convenience of cordless without the weight of motor and gas is nice but it only works in already trimmed areas and not well on anything other that lawn grass. I still have to use the old fashioned method for most of my trimming,
bought it and 10 uses or less the trimmer just stopped working, thought it may be low battery, changed out and still would not run. return for replacement. trouble is was right before first snow. used replacement unit twice in spring and stopped working on second use. same issue.
I purchased this item because I already had a C3 drill and I wanted a cordless solution for trimming around my lawn. The first time I tried it, I was disappointed... I couldn't get the line to "refresh" with a new length of filament. I almost took it back to Sears for a refund. After reading the instruction manual, I tried using it again and... I was more than satisfied with the results. It turned out to be the correct solution for me and now I have a "spare" battery for use with my drill. The trimmer turned out to be easy to use, easy to handle, has plenty of power, and perfect for my average size yard on a corner lot. The battery easily lasted for the whole trimming job and charging time was more than reasonable. I have no hesitation on recommending this trimmer... as long as you remember to READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL before using it the first time.
I purchased this item because of the good experiences I had with the (same size battery) hedge triimmer. The results for this string trimmer were the same: (1) the unit is light, well balanced and can be adjusted easily for the particular jobs; (2) this unit cut through some thick ivy vines and other "tough stuff" more quickly than the previous trimmer I owned; (3) the time of the battery is predictable - both 19.2 Volts I own quit after a little more than 30 minutes use. Finally, and this is a plug for battery powered units, you will find yard work more enjoyable and less fatiguing if you are not dragging around a hundred foot extension cord (as I had been for years). Wish I had done this a couple of years ago.
