If your grass is made from tissue paper, you might like this trimmer
I live in the Seattle, WA area and purchased this trimmer. I thought "Great, now I won't have to drag my cord around!" Unfortunately, I'm not sure what grass they tested this model on, because my grass just look at this trimmer and laughed at it. In fact, my grass brought all of it's grass friends over for a party - all of whom knew there was nothing this trimmer could do about it! I suppose it you are cutting some small grass around bushes, this would do just fine. But if you're doing any serious edge trimmer around the boarder of a lawn and you need it to really cut a line in the dirt - this trimmer isn't going to do it for you. By an electric "plug in" trimmer!

Good

I am overall pleased with this weed Wacker It is good for the light job of my yard, about an acre. Battery lasts for about an hour per charge. Not as powerful as my old gas one, but much less maintenance.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
Solid trimmer, good battery life, great purchase!

Prior to purchasing this I was concerned about the battery life after reading some of the reviews. Since I have several from my combo kit and the trimmer came with one I wasn't worried about having to pop in a battery if the one I was using died. I was quite pleased when I was able to edge my driveway, trim around trees, etc. on several occasions after mowing on one battery charge! I have a half acre lot with plenty of trees so I've been getting good use out of it. Power output is fine, the auto-feeder works pretty well, too. My only complaint is how quickly the line wears down, but I'm not exactly careful when edging around concrete, so I probably shouldn't complain. If you want to just pop in a battery and edge your yard, this is a solid option, especially if you have extra batteries anyway.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Cordless Trimmer

This is my first trimmer and I wanted one that I didn't need gas or an electric cord. I own a number of the 19.2V tools and I am generally pleased with the way they have held up. I was surprised at the power of the trimmer and easily trimmed about 100 foot length of yard at the rear of my property. It took down any week it hit immediately. The lithium battery may help with the power and hold a longer charge as well. I think you can get the trimmer with or without the battery/charger. I would recommend getting the battery if you own multiple tools since the batteries are the only thing that seems to "go" on these tools. I would say that if you like the other cordless tools in this series, you will like this trimmer. I have not used as an edger yet. One small issue is that the tool feels unbalanced from a weight distribution perspective. Was it the battery or usual for all trimmers (not sure). You might want to compare to a gas unit if this is important to you. Overall I would recommend the trimmer and if money is not the problem, get the extra battery.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
lightweight trimmer that is always ready

I bought this at a great sale price of under $75. It is best used with a Lithium ion battery. I have several which I keep charged. It is always ready. I had a gas powered trimmer that I got so frustrated with. This one starts when I want to use it. I have an acre lot and can do most of the gardens and edges on one charge. I see where someone complained about it's power but much to my dismay I cut thru the chicken wire around my Vegetable garden. Had to mend that fence. Also good to wear long pants when you use it. I'm very happy with it as I'm now into my 3rd year. I almost bought a 2nd one when I saw it bundled with the blower for $94. Like I said the compact lithium ion batteries are the best to use

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for a small yard

This battery operated trimmer does a great job. I have a small to medium sized yard and the unit has plenty of battery life and power. It is light weight and a has plenty of power. Replaced a 4 year old Black and Decker and this blows my old one away.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Easy / Don't miss the 2 cycle noise

Works great for my corner lot. Battery lasts for my entire yard. No more 2 stroke gas and yanking the cord to try and start the old trimmer.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great trimmer for normal trimming

This trimmer will handle grass and small weeds with no problem. Plenty of power for normal trimming. I have a 1/2 acre lot and can get most of the trimming done on one charge. I have other C3 tools, so I have extra batteries if I need them.
