This mower is very powerful and drives itself easily. Starts quickly with a push button I find it bulky and difficult in corners since it is longer and heavier than the budget type. also the handle bar is not round so holding is very uncomfortable on the hands.

I have bought two of these so I'm not sure which one this is but they are both great. Bought one for my mother-in-laws house. I have bought another for my house they are the same except my mower has electric start I really like both but, the electric start is really nice.
The handle is poorly designed, pinches your hands, and the amount of pressure to engage the drive is a little bit harder than hanging from a monkey bar. The drive is very weak on top of being hard to use. the side discharge hole is so small that if you are cutting high grass at all it plugs. If you try and mulch the air holds the bag door open a bit and creates a dust cloud that makes you look like Pigpen from Peanuts. The flap on the back of the mower folds back under wvery time you try to pull the mower back , making it pull like it doesnt even have any wheels. Once there is any weight in the bag, its a push mower, plain and simple. Well at least it starts easy, well actually that is until it warm, then not so easy. This mower should come in yellow only as it designed a lemon. And if you want to take your lemon and make it into lemon aid , buy a different mower

I owned it for about 2 mos now and start up every time either by pull start or push button. Does a very good job cutting the grass.

The easy start is very nice and you barley need to pull at all. This is the first self propelled and it is not bad but wish the lever was a little easier to grasp as you typically only use very little power. One thing I wish was better was the bag sealing to the mower as grass does come out at the top slightly no matter how many adjustments I made.
after 2 (with in two month of purchase) cut never started and took it to sears for repair and they can not repair craftsman or sears canot honor the warranty PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY CRAFTSMAN PRODUCT AS I WILL NEVER EVER BUY

I purchased this machine after buying a used B&S Craftsman 14.5 years ago and having it until a month ago. I purchased the first one from the store and noticed it was missing equipment before I left which were collected. After I got it home I found more parts missing so I couldn't even start it. I returned that one and ordered another online which took 1.5 weeks to get. I finally got the second one and charged it over night since it had all the parts. The engine started fine but the drive system did not work. I had it looked at and they made an adjustment which lasted about 2 minutes. Then the drive wheels would cycle on and off working individually. Sometimes neither worked, sometimes one would work. That was enough for me so I returned it after only having it for 24 hours.
I had to buy a mower over Labor day weekend. This was one of the few mowers that my local sears still had in stock. I have used it 3 times so far, and It cuts great, and the self propelled works great you can adjust the speed to how fast you can walk. We have a larger yard 4/10's of an acre, so using the catcher isnt an option. We either have to mulch or side discharge it. Mulching works well. The electric push start is a big plus. Really like that feature. The only thing I dont care for is handle for the self propelled drive. It takes me 45 minutes to an hour to mow our yard, and because you can only use 1 hand and you can vary the speed my right hand gets tired by the end of mowing. I would like to see that changed for future models.
