And, there's no need to push and coax the machine. Its variable speed propelled drive system gets your mower driving virtually on its own with minimal effort from you. Simply direct it to the areas you want mowed down. Your Craftsman mower will surge ahead tearing tall blades of grass down to the precise height that you choose from its multi cutting height positions, giving you a manicured-looking lawn.

Keep protected from dirt while mowing courtesy a specially constructed Dustblocker Grass Bag. No ugly clumps of yard waste on your yard, or trails of grass in your home. Once the cutting is done, cleaning up is incredibly simple thanks to the EZ bagging access with a bagger door that stays open for easy bag removal and closes with a squeeze of the control bail to carry it to the mulch pile.

Its 22 inch 3-in-1 precision cut deck offers all cutting options (bagging, mulching and side discharge) to get more work done in less time. An adjustable, multi-position handle gives you a perfect fit and easily folds up for storage to save space when not in use. Best Mower for the money

I bought this mower when it was on sale during Memorial Day
weekend. I live in a suburb of Atlanta, GA. The grass here is cut very short. I
use the mower 2 times every week to cut my lawn. My property grade is hilly so
the last mower I had was a yard man. It never had enough power to cut the lawn
short and still pull the machine up the hill. This machine is great it has
plenty enough power to do the job. I have been using this mower all summer
long, it starts on 1 pull. Never has used any oil. The only thing they need to
change about this machine is the drive control. After a while of using the
machine it starts to ware on your hands.

Craftsman rea wheel drive 22" Mower

This was without a doubt the hardest handling mower I have ever used.  The rear wheels being wider than the front and wider than the deck make it impossible to mow close to the foundation or curbs.  The front wheels are also extended and make lifting at corners difficult.  The self propel engage bar being under the grab handle is hard to control and causes a lot of strain on hands by being in an awkward position.  I would not recommend this mower to anyone.

Overall
Disappointed in recent lawn mower purchase.

I bought the lawn mower in late January or early February on line. In mid-March went to use the new mower for the first time after filling up with fresh gasoline and oil - mower was difficult to start up when pulling the cable - had to have a neighbor come over and help. The mower went about 50 feet and smoke was emitted from engine area. The motor locked and would not start back up. I put the mower away and several days later had another neighbor who is knowledgeable about mowers spent over an hour trying to get it to start and recommended it be returned to Sears for credit. I returned the mower and noticed that this particular mower had four of five of this model on the sales floor marked "Clearance". Although the mower did not work for me, and I would not recommend this model, this would have been the third mower I purchased from Sears over a 20 year period, and I never had a problem previously. The previous mowers worked well for me, and I would purchase from Sears again.

Not good at all

I brought this lawn morrow home and removed it from the box. I add the oil and new gas. I started the morrow and after 3 minutes it started making a lot of noise. I turn it off and restarted it; it was making a lot of noise from the start. I turn it back off and flip it on its side; the blade was just dangling there by a couple of threads. I could not even turn the bolt. I put it back in the box and had to drive back to the store, they tried to say I did this to the morrow. I show the manager that I just got it 2 hours ago. I finally got him to put the money back on my credit card. At this point I will never buy another thing from sears. I always buy my tool from sears, but from now on I will go to ***** to get my tools and appliance.

Failed to start less than one year...

I keep carb cleaner and fuel stabilizer in the gas. 6 months and won't start. Seems to be flooded. Has spark. Does not require priming so not user error. Buying B&S was a mistake.

GOOD TORQUE BUT

MOVER TOO HEAVY , HARD TO MANEUVER AND THE SPEED ON SELF PROPELLED WAS INCREDIBLY FAST, PRACTICALLY I HAD TO RUN TO KEEP WITH THE PACE OF THE MACHINE PLUS I STARTED TO HEAR A STRANGE NOISE FROM THE GEAR WHICH SCARED ME ,BEING THE FIRST TIME THE MOVER BEING TRIED, OVERALL DIDN'T LIKE IT. I GAVE TWO STARS JUST BECAUSE ENGINE TORQUE WAS GOOD....

Overall
Low cost machine may have reliability issues.

Side chute (plastic) broke after a month and was quickly replaced by Sears. Lowest cut is about 1 inch so if you need something lower look elsewhere. Pace of machine is very fast, more than normal. After several months it sounds like the drive belt is having a problem so the machine may go for repairs soon. Good power, great on hills due to rear drive.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!!!

I bought this mower on June 21, 2012. So just under 7 months ago. YOU CANNOT GET PARTS FROM ANY SEARS STORE. You have to order them online and have to pay their crazy shipping! I went to the store to ask the manager if I could trade it for a mower that has parts in store being that it is only 6 months old, 2 days later and still no call from the horrible store manager. This makes me want to take my business to ********** or *****, just that much more.

Do not buy this hunk of junk

I bought this lawn mower reason being it's a craftsman, decent price, and having a small yard with no grass yet. I used it once to trim down the weeds in the summer. started up and ran just fine. I brought it out to go over the weeds again. It didn't start, I had thought I had flooded it so I did the procedure to get it running. still wouldn't start. I had my neighbor take a look at it but he wasn't able to get it going. now the starter(rope) is ripping from where it locks into place from so many times I tried to start it. Features an automatic choke system I honestly feel that it is useless, other machinery I've used have the manual choke and start up just after a couple of try's. I'm completely dissatisfied on the performance.
