This mower was a replacement for a 7 year old Craftsmen with Honda 160 power. The 190 engine and new features make this the perfect mower for us. Runs good, starts on the 1st pull and it is easy to operate. We are very happy with our purchase.

Went with my dad to pick up his mower he ordered and found this one and fell in love as it had everything I had wanted in a mower. Got it home put the oil and gas in it and it fired right up and I was very impressed at how quiet it ran. Started the blades after letting engine run like manual states and soon as I got in the grass the blades stopped and wouldnt restart. After reading reviews on here I decided to just return it rather than exchange it. Was very depressing becasue this mower sounded great, started so easy, and all of its features were ruined because of one issue. Needs to be recalled!

I purchased this item in part because of the Honda engine. I set the mower up, made one pass across the yard and the blade stopped working. I checked the cable that engages/disengages the blade and was still unable to get it going so I took it back to the store and brought the floor model home. This time it lasted for about three passes across the lawn before the blade stopped moving. Back to the store we went; the sales associate Googled the model number and the entire first page of results was the exact complaint that I had. I purchased a different model and have had no issues.

I just got it yesterday to replace another new one I bought at Sears. It was a Husqwavarna with a Kohler 173cc motor ( Briggs & Stratton) I guess the tranny gave out and the motor was hard to start. I went back to Sears with the lawn mower to replace it. I got this baby and let me tell you folks, it is Day and night with this mower. Easy to start, very strong motor (Honda 190cc). Cuts straight, and easy bag empty. A great mower with agreat price. LOVE IT...

This purchase started out VERY disappointing. I wasted about 90 minutes in the large Pleasanton store before going to Tracy. The mower- Set up was simple. Read the instructions, they are basic but clear. Added the included oil, and fueled it up. Started on the first pull. Solid, well built. The self propel needed a little tightening. The big wheels are great, but I have a feeling they will be the first things I have a problem with (100lbs rolling on big plastic rim wheels does NOT feel solid). The guts of the self propel are much better protected than almost all of the front drive, and some rear drive (drive belts completely exposed, above cutting blade). Height adjustment is a snap. I loved the idea of the underside cleaning hook up. So far not as excited as I thought I would be about that, but maybe I should try it a few more times. I have cut the very large lawn about 4 times now in 3 weeks (dropping the height a little each time). No issues to report yet. I am VERY pleased.

I haven't really had this mower long enough to give a real opinion, but for the month plus I have, it has worked perfectly. It starts on the first pull. it runs great under load. I like the variable speed drive. (Although I do have a 4 ft drop over 100 ft and the self propelled mechanism doesn?t make it easy going up the hill, only less hard.) It is not too loud. The bag is as easy to remove and empty as the instructions said it would be. It cleans up great. I feel good about the honda motor. I read most of the reviews and I was a bit worried going into the buy, however the mower has doen all I have asked without trouble.

I was a little hesitant about buying this mower because of some of the reviews, but I have to say it is the best lawn mower I have ever owned. I did experience the same problem that several people have complained about that it would start to die after the first 15 minutes of use. I realized very quickly that it was idling too low. I reached down and manually revved the throttle linkage on the motor and it has been perfect ever since! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the blade does not mulch the grass in small enough pieces. I had installed a better blade on my last Honda mower and once I do the same to this one it will be perfect. I am sure it is wonderful if you bag or use the side discharge. I would buy this mower with confidence.

I wanted this mower for the blade clutch feature. I read the reviews and thought I might get lucky. I didn't have it long enough for the blade disengage feature to not work. The gear driven feature would not work well at all! I diddled with the adjustment for a while and decided it just wasn't worth it so I took it back. The tech could not get it to work either. Stay away from it until Sears fixes it!

Blade clutch disengaged and wouldn't re-engage while mowing the first lawn. Took it back and swapped for the same unit with no issues the next day. Mowed several times with the new mower and no problems at all. The motor is definitely it's strong point - the honda is powerful and hums right along. The drive controls are easy to operate and work well
