Easy start!
This mower starts easy, one pull and away you go, quiet compared to many mowers, I wore a B&G engine out after 10years and very dependable, one of the reasons I stayed with this mower. The rear bag is easy to take in and out, and the anti dust feature really works and the washable hose connect is easy to use and a plus. The adjustable height requires only one lever to move both wheels, front and back which is a great advantage over my old mower where each wheel had to be raised or lowered. Mower is easy to push but I don't have any hills to mow. Counting on this mower lasting 10 more years!

Fouls the spark plug in a few hours
The mower run great and has plenty of power for tall thick grass, but the spark plug fouls within three to five hours of total use, and will not start again. Change the plug and it works great again for three to five hours of total use. There needs to be a recall on this product, due to the large number of complaints on other sites about this model with the fouling issue. I am very disappointed with the poor quality that seems to be with Sears products now. I will never buy another lawn mower from sears again.

mower review

Bought this mower a year ago. Worked great the first year we had it and now it fouls out the plug after about 1/2 an hour of use. Starts like a champ when it operates right but I feel the quality of your products have really gone down hill when you have to change the plug after every use. Also found that the front wheel height lever will decide to pop to the lowest setting without even knowing. Have to adjust every mow.

High-maintenance and undependable

I bought this mower to save money (rather than hiring someone to mow my lawn). Bad idea. I've had to have it serviced after every other mowing, and I have 1/8 acre. The Sears sales clerk at the store where I bought it claims that I simply did not put in the proper maintenance... well, after having it tuned up, new oil filter, spark plug carb cleaned AND using special, expensive no-ethanol gas, it was good for one mowing. Well covered with water-proof tarp, it still apparently drew in moisture enough so that it barely starts. Moisture may be it, but who knows. This piece of metal is so high-maintenance, it could be anything.

190cc* High-Wheel Rear Bag Push Mower

The installation instruction is very simple. The performance of the engine is a sure start at a first pull. I liked it. I had no problem with the machine that I was unhappy to return it the next day was the problem with the cutting height lever at the front wheels, which failed or held lock firmly at the set position. The lever (spring action) is weak and easily popping out of the set position when the machine is pushed forward and across the lawn and dropping down to the lowest one causing the blade to cut into the lawn at the undesired height and damaging the lawn. The front wheel cutting height lever needs to be redesigned to hold firmly or locked firmly in the position would make the model great again.

Won't Start

I plan to return it tomorrow. Won't start. Started 1st time right out of the box, ran fine and mowed the lawn as it should. 2nd week, it started as before and then stopped never to start again. Afier 2 days of doing everything I could think of, I called and talked with a customer service rep at Briggs - Stratton who suggestion the problem might be a "stuck" thermocoupler (??). Talked with local B-S rep who told me to bring the mower in, wait to 2 weeks and deposit $35.00. That's it! Back to Sears tomorrow.

Poor performance

Bought this item Oct. 2012, used it 3 times, now it doesn't start. I've emptied the gas before winter, refilled it first with 89 octane (wouldn't start), emptied it and refilled with 94 octane, still wouldn't start. Put new spark plug in it, it still won't start. Called Briggs & Stratton since it's their engine (with warrenty), can't get anyone to help. I owned a Toro for 15 years and never had a problem with it. I bought this one assuming it would be worry free for at least 2 - 3 years. Boy did I make a BIG MISTAKE.

Great mower, very modern and convenient!

Self-wash, just hook up a hose and turn it on. So easy to start a 2 year old could do it! Starts first time every time. Well made. Many options: rear bagger, side blowout, or mulch. 6 height settings, easy to set and only have to set on one side. Comes with oil, on and on I could go

I would recommend this product to a friend.
