I don?t always steal lawn mowers but when I do it?s a Craftsman.
Well it?s March 3rd and my old reliable Craftsman lawn mower is still stolen. Some toolbox swiped it last fall. The grass is getting a bit shaggy. Another week or so and my neighbors will start talking. So off to Sears I go. I did my internet shopping due diligence and decided on the Craftsman 37037. My criteria: I wanted a mower built or at least assembled in the U S of A. I wanted a Briggs and Stratton engine because these were the ones I learned to take apart and rebuild in high school. I wanted torque and displacement, the more the better. I wanted big back wheels because they look cool. I wanted a push mower because men don?t buy self propelled mowers. The web site picture also sported a blue ?recommended? badge. Two extra points for that. Like most men, I don?t limit my mower to just grass. My old mower would take on anything. Sticks, blackberry vines, rocks, sprinkler heads, dog toys, beer cans, you name it. I hope this shiny new mower is half the mower my old one was.

4 Months Old and Already in the Shop
My lawnmower is only 4 months old and it is already in the shop. It has the proper amount of gas and oil and after about 3 minutes of using the mower, it totally blew up and caught on fire. Right in front of the house on the sidewalk. Very embarrassing. Of course I didn't buy the dumb warranty. I feel like throwing this thing in the trash and starting over with another brand. Everything is made out of plastic these days--nothing runs like it used to. I wouldn't buy this mower. It is a piece of crap.

Great Mower

Really does a good job and very dependable. Easy start with great ease of operation. The high wheels make it easy to use on my uneven lawn with very little effort.

Best Mow I Have Owned

The lawn mower is the best mower I have ever owned. It was power to cut through the thickest grass and the mulching work great. The rubber axle mounts take weight out for easier pushing. I highly recommend always using fuel stabilizer in the mower gas (a sample packet is included with the mower) it keeps the engine clean and helps starting on those cold morning. If you follow the owner's manual the mower will dependable and maintain it power.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
New mower worked great

Setup of the mower was very easy. Came almost fully assembled in box and only had to adjust the handle. Oil was included and instructions were very easy to follow. I mowed my lawn right after and engine started right up and actually used very little gas. I mowed my front and back yard, about 1/3 acre, and only used a little over half a tank of gas. Black color of mower even looks cool. So far so good and would recommend this mower.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Perfect fit for me!

I love how I can adjust the height of the handles. The large wheels make it easier to get threw my yard and ditches. The bagger works great along with the mulching.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

190cc Push Mower

Great mower! Quick "out of the box" minor set-up, fill with oil and gas and off you go. Cuts very easily, even through higher grass. Didn't even need the bag, though I do usually bag for that "professional" look that leaves no grass clippings behind. I used the mower and so did my 14 year old son. He mows lawns for others, and he said this was the smoothest cutting, easy to use push mower ever. I bought this on sale for under $250 with a promo coupon...so got a great deal too! I am hopeful this will last for many, many years to come.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

great lawn mower

so far I am very impressed with this mower, easy to start light weight, and cuts fantastic. My last mower was also a Craftsman and it lasted for 10 years hoping this one lasts as long.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
Piece of junk!

Bought this on sale and used it on my small lawn about 4-5 times over a 6 week period which was less than 1 tank of gas and it no longer will start. Day 1 it started up on first pull but all of a sudden it wont start. Cheap quality and low power as it stalls at least once each time I used it. Whatever happened to to the throttle level? The blade doesnt cut well either. I usually had to go over the same spot several times.

Engine failure and 6 weeks in the shop

After owning the mower for about a year and using it about a dozen times, the engine blew a hole in the casing. After having to haggle to convince the shop that the engine failure was not because of misuse, I finally got it 6 weeks later. After the first mow, the repair shop did not fully assemble the engine and it is already beginning to smoke. Skip Craftsman and just buy a Honnda--you'll save more money in the long run.
