Me & my wife purchased this pushmower this weekend for mowing our back yard and around the house where a lawn tractor cannot fit. My last mower was loaned out and was returned damaged beyond repair and we needed a new mower (this one will not be loaned out). I used my utility knife and cut the box open and grabbed the owner's manual and went through it, before I started assembling the mower. This was very easy to setup and took no tools to assemble. I filled the engine with the supplied oil that came with the mower. After the mower was assembled and oil and fresh gas was added, the next step was to set the mower height. Setting the mower deck height wss extremely easy to raise and lower the mower. After everything was completed, the mower cranked on the very first pull. The engine was running smooth and I went straight to mowing. The grass was kind of high and the engine handled the grass height with plenty of power and the engine never bogged down.. I shut the mower down several times to empty the mower bag and the mower restarted on the first pull on each additional start. I mowed around the front of the house as well and used the mower for a large part of the day and it operated very well for its inagural yard work. This mower was just right for my needs and so was the price range. I didn't need a fancy or high end pushmower. I did like the mower cleaning attatchment and just had to add my garden hose to clean the under-deck after I was done for the day. The grass catcher is very easy to apply and remove and it is very easy to dump the bag. There is also a removable side discharge to use when you are not needing the rear grass bag.
I am very pleased with my purchase so far and did put it to a solid work load test today and it handled everything that I threw at it. I will update my review after I put some more hours on the mower, but so far, I have no complaints for the price......

This mower is very lightweight. The wheels appear to be very durable and do not attract mud or grass. The underdeck cleaning feature is very nice to have also. You just hook a garden hose up to the connector on the upper deck and run water and the engine for about 5 minutes altogether. This mower also mulches very well and does not leave much clumping at all, even in tall grass.
I bought this mower in April, 2014. It works fine with the right fuel. Sears could do a better job of explaining why you have to use fresh gas. 10% ethanol attracts water and gunks up the carburetor of any small gasoline engine. The solution is to buy gas without ethanol in it. This kind of gasoline costs more, but your lawn mower will start easily and run like a champ.
This lawnmower seems to be really good so far. easy to set up, and easy to start with one pull. Cuts lawn the way I want it and the clean up is good with the hose connection.
This is a pretty good value for the money. The mower is very easy to assemble which was a must have for a novice like myself. I also bought a weed whacker which similarly was easy to put together and fired right up. The engine is strong and ran right through the weeds errrr lawn around my property. It's light enough that most anyone can use it easily. It also came with a solid start up kit with a sample a stabil and the oil needed right in the box. It was nice to not have to run back to sears for the 3rd time that day. All in all, it was money well spent and it's craftsmen so you know what you get from a quality perspective.
We bought this similar model over 10 years ago and we love it! This is obviously updated and works smoothly. It is a remarkable machine. We wouldn't buy any other make and model for our lawn and its ease of use.
This is a nice setup for someone with a small to medium lawn. The mower starts easily, you can use or not use the bagger. It mulches as well as cuts. Do read the manual as it is set up a bit different than other mowers. I like the feature that you can hook your hose to wash off the blades by a fitting on top.

It's okay for the price but I'd recommend spending a little more and getting more for the money. My last Craftsman lasted me (honestly) 25 years and was a 21" push mower, and I paid about the same for it. It was a tank and the Briggs and Stratton motor was still holding but the deck finally just rusted out and the wheels were literally ready to fall off...lol. I have to say, not nearly as satisfied with this one at this point, but I've only used it about four times, and in fairness - I'd probably have to spend another $150 or more to get equivalent dollar value from 25 years ago. The upside: it starts first or second pull every time; it's fairly quiet; the bag has good capacity and easy to pop on and off; the mower is lightweight. The downside: It seems to snag up on the lawn if you try to set the wheel setting low, and I like to do so during peak growth. A mower should push easily at any setting at which it can be set; I find more missed blades standing than I ever saw with my old mower, which I generally never did. I don't think it lifts and cuts the blades of grass with near the efficiency; while the bag mounts easily, you cannot take it off without some grass dropping to the ground. 98% is in the bag, but some will inevitably fall to the ground. It just seems that could have been designed a little better, and again, I never had that with my old Craftsman. Overall, good for the money but I'll upgrade next time.
