Great little mower!
Everything you would expect in a quality Craftsman. Very smooth operation, turning radius is excellent, keeps cutting even in tall grass, and comfortable stable ride.

Ehhh! Blah.
The mower is a little slow especially in reverse. Uneven terrain causes the deck to torque which leaves mower stripes. Turning around trees is nice but if the ground around the tree is not level... the machine tends to push in a strait line. Quite a bit louder than other mowers on the market. Single cylinder engine causes a lot of vibration. Good on gas use. Can't say this is worth the money. I'd look into other brands.

Great Lawn tractor

Just got my 42 inch 19 hp turn tight tractor, tractor is great does not vibrate much it's a tractor (not a car)so it will a little ,turn tight is good 2 bagger great ,also ordered the bumper I'm ready for the grass and the fall leaves.mowed 1/2 acre front yard done in 15 min. so don't buy in to the bad reviews you have 30 days to return but I'm keeping mine.

Overall
I have a love hate relationship with my Craftsmen tractor

I wanted to wait a little while before righting my review on my New Craftsmen. And as I stated above I have already developed a love hate relationship with it. Allow me to start with the Good part first. I lave a large corner lot with steep hills tons of tight turns and open space. With a Mini forest surrounded by lawn circled in in stone on one side of my house. A steep rise in my front yard (Delivery people hate me) My back and other side yard have many obstructions as well from trees to my garden and pumpkin patch that is taking over yard and garden to structures. I have found the hydro static transmission to be a GODs send! I can easily control my speed up and down with light taps on my shiftier add in the tight turning and all I can say is I barely do any weed whacking anymore when before I would spend more time weed whacking then actually mowing with my old tractor. Frankly this tractor and I work so well like hand in glove it's it's caused my hate part of this relationship. I have nearly an archer of land and before maintaining my lawn would take half a days labor now I'm done mowing in 15 minutes :( and weed whack even less, not even a hour is spend tending to my lawn!!!!! Each time I have completely mowing I'm left wanting more!!! today I nearly considered crossing the road and mowing my neighbors who always lets his lawn get too long before mowing and if not for fear of what lay within his high grass that would ruin my blades I relented. Yes I love my tractor so much so I hate it because I don't get to use it enough! I'm being sincere here. I should add my only disappointment in this order was that it took so long to gt delivery of the tractor in fact 4 days after buying my tractor which was in stock I purchased a new Kenmore Gas Range (which so far I give 5 Stars too ) and the range was delivered in 3 days and the tractor still didn't arrive until the next week. I spend a lot of time in the decision making of this tractor I read all the reviews good bad or indifferent as with anything with so many moving parts things can go wrong specially if the product is not properly used and maintained not that manufactures and assemblers do not make mistakes they do and generally those will shine through very quickly so you are covered just follow your user manuals instruction and you will be fine. I highly recommend this product I found it to far exceed my expectation and if I had known it would have freed up so much of my personal time before hand I would not have delayed my purchase as I had.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Excellent

This mower has been great since I purchased it about 2 months ago. I love how sharp the turns are and it cuts extremely well even when the grass is damp. I have been very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to others looking for a mower at this price point.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Vibrates, leaky engine, underpowered

First let me say my 9 year old craftsman 18 hp intek mower has more power. This one vibrates a lot! Called for repair and they changed wobbly pullies and ballanced blades that only had 3 mowings on them. (out of ballance) Better but still shaky compared to old LT2000. Noticed oil leak from main engine seal only 6 mowings now. (1 acre yard) They changed the seal by just pulling out rubber/plastic ring from around shaft and tapping in new one. Mind boggleing ignorant design. No plate to hold it in place or press it in or anything. Nothing to keep it fallling out. The only reason I purchased it was the hydrostatic drive that you don't have to use your "feet" to run. I need that foot to hold back limbs etc when I drive past bushes..

Great Mower

Turns on a dime, simple to drive, I like the option to mow in reverse because of the lay out of our property. I love EVERYTHING about this mower!!!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Transmission issues within first month of ownership

Started having transmission problems 1st month (3rd use). Takes 3 -5 minutes before transmission will engage. First appointment Sears had for maintenance was six weeks away...

Overall
fantastic machine

This mower is just the thing I needed to keep my front lawn and back yard neat and clean. The best part is the 6-inch turn radius. With such a tight turn capability, I am able to get into the corners of the fenced areas with ease. This limits the amount of trimming I have to do later to finish up the grooming. The 19 horsepower engine is an asset when I need the extra power to haul my dump cart full of dirt or rocks when I am creating a new vegetable or flower garden.
