Craftsman 2.25 Ton Stands

Bought these on sale and they were just what I needed to hold up the 71 Mustang while working on the floorboards!  Very wide base makes it all stable!

Had these stand for over a year now and already, I can see the supports are buckling. Even from day 1, I noticed how cheaply made and poorly designed they were but hey, you get what you pay for. However, I did like how they had a low height to them.

dont buy a Craftsman mower unless you want to replace a motor after 2 years

After the problem with my craftsman riding lawn mower, where the Motor became defective after 25 months with a 24 month warranty and less than 12 months of use.. I wouldn't recommend Sears or Briggs and stratton engines even to my worst enemy.. And I wont buy sears products again..... Ronald *****

Great Jack Stands for $20-30, but just not for me.

Another fine Craftsman item. Typically, I would err on the side of caution and go with 3-ton jack stands for a 2-ton vehicle, even if you're only resting 1/2 the weight of the car on the stands, but Craftsman's 3-tons didn't have a low enough range for my liking. On these, despite the light-weight design, the welds were all clean, and the teeth in the stand arm were of a good depth so you can be sure that the pawl is set before lowering your car from the jack...this was in stark contrast to a few other low-cost stands I bought at the same time to ensure I chose the safest ones. Unfortunately, the sadles on the Craftsman 2.25 ton stands I bought had some bubbles and bumps from the casting, so they weren't very flat/smooth. I ultimately returned these because I decided to use my car's reinforced pinch weld jack stand points, which generally work better with a saddle with a groove in the middle, a V-shaped saddle, or a saddle with a much longer low point than these. Bottom line, if you have a lighter vehicle and you use ridge or frame for support, these are a good value purchase. After doing a ton of research because I'm obsessed with safety, I realized that super high-quality stands look like the ones sold by a company called AC Hydraulic (not Torin, **************, or the other crap you find on ******). Google it for comparison, and make your own decision...your money, your life...

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The stands are very study and have a wide stance. I lifted my truck and did not think it would be sturdy up high and I was wrong. The four worked perfect.

not too bad

Okay, I've got a set of these, and for the price you really cannot beat them. I actually have a set of heavier duty ones as well. These are so light/easy to move around usually I'll use them for quick jobs which I'm leaving the jack under the vehicle. If I know I'm going to remove the jack I'll use the heavy duty set. Again, the piece of mind you get for the price is worth it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good general purpose jack stands

My dad got me these when I started working on my hot rod V8 powered VW beetle (v8beetleresource.com) and I have used them a whole lot, both for the hot rod and rotating the tires on my wife and I's daily drivers. Everyone needs a set or two of jack stands if they are going to work on cars......... Don't trust a jack, you don't want to be smashed!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works for me

Good jack for the price. But I don't trust them nor any other jack for that matter, no matter the cost. Always have a backup source to support your car or lawnmower in case a jack fails. Place a wooden or concrete block whereever you have a jack. Little extra effort is worth not being squished.
