I didn't have one of these before and needed to knock some dents out for a project. It worked extremely well - as I suspected!

I like the weight its not heavy or feels top heavy. I use normly for breaking parts off from gaskets and corrodtion. Great tool alot cheaper then snap-on deadblow.

OK - Let's get one thing straight. This hammer isn't a sledge hammer and it isn't a rubber mallet. This tool is a Dead-Blow Hammer. It is designed for driving two pieces of wood together. It is most commonly used to drive pieces together for joinery. The head of the hammer is made up of multiple shot which absorb energy as the head strikes another surface. This provides minimum recoil. This particular set of Dead-Blow Hammers is among the best I have ever used. I really like the shape and style of the handle grip. It is extremely comfortable and easy to grip. You will love it two, if you use it properly.

This was bought as a replacement for a "borrowed" hammer over 17 years old. It's better than the original Craftsman, although the red colour tends for it to get lost in the background. I love the vivid yellow!
