A must-have for any handyman, whether you own a simple set or hundreds, the Craftsman 2 pc. Socket Rack is a simple and convenient way to keep your sockets nearby at the jobsite or around the home. Each rail includes 14 clips that will hold sockets up to 3/8 inches in diameter. This classic design comes with a vinyl grip that feels firm and secure in your hand. Backed by a lifetime Craftsman warranty, guaranteeing years and years of solid performance.
The 2 pc. Socket Rack is a no-hassle, lightweight way to organize your sockets. When you're doing a tune-up underneath the car, you don't want to slide in and out just to get a different size socket. So why not take all the ones you know you'll probably need before you begin? And since the sockets clip firmly in place, you won't have to worry about them scattering across the floor.

MADE IN THE U.S.A! I can't say enough about these socket racks I just love them. I have 4 of them, one for metric one for metric deep one for standard and one for standard deep. Keeps all sockets in place even if I drop it. It has a hole in the top so I can attach it to my workbench. Well worth the money and great price for under $10! Lastly they are covered by Craftsmans Forever warranty! Talk about peice of mind.
I find that so far the sockets will stay on the clips even when carrying the rack around. But it's probable that the clips will compress over time and the sockets will fall off. This wouldn't be so bad except that it is a real pain to get new clips onto the rail (I bent a rail trying to get the clips in over the rail). Good deal when on sale for those of you who like this style; personally, I find the Hansons worth the extra money, if only because the trays are pre-organized.

I have over eight of these, but only because they're cheaper and less bulky than other options. I think they work too good (can't get the socket off without a fight) or not good enough (socket keeps falling off from over use). I've been using different ones for 20 plus years and I don't believe I'll change now, but they could be better.

The metal socket clips don't move smoothly back and forth on the metal rails. They take a little more time to put the sockets back. They don't keep the sockets in place 100% because the clips are not square drive lugs, and they're out of shape easliy. I think I will need to buy new metal clips from time to time. This means that the cost will be much more in the long run, compared to the plastic version. If I could go back, I would get the plastic socket racks with plastic studs.

Sockets are difficult to mount to the rack at first. After use they become easier. Sockets do not fall off when you pick the racks up like cheaper racks do. They are the only racks I use.

The socket holders are inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. The clips that hold the sockets in either don't hold the sockets very well or are so tight you bend them trying to get the socket on. There is probably a better option out there.
