Compressor was delivered and right out of the box the air volume gauge wound not register unless the rubber protective ring was removed. The compressor is extremely noisy and takes an unbelieveable amount of time to fill up to tank capacity. Anywhere from 4-6 minutes to re-fill the tank between usages, therefore sitting around wasting valauable time. Sears would not exchange it for an upgrade (Past 30 days) which forced me to purchase a compressor that works from ******!!! This was the first time I ever used the compressor since it was purchased but they would bend a bit. After 25 years of loyalty to Sears, I have decided to shop elsewhere.

I bought this compressor about 7 months ago, and about the third or fourth time I turned it on the wiring at the motor connection arced and burnt up. I'll be honest I wouldn't have bought it if I had known up front it was a chinese product I found out after I got it home and unpacked, research is key people
My wife got this for me for Christmas 2010. I never opened it till 7/2011. The manifold was leaking so I took it back. They sent it out for 2 1/2 weeks and when I got it home it still leaked in the same place so I took it back "again". They sent it out "again" for 2 weeks and when I got it back it still leaked so back "again". This time they replaced it. I gave up and sealed it myself. 2 years later 9/2013 and the motor seized up. Did I use it excessively, you ask? Nope I use it to put air in our bike tires, blow off the crevices of my car when I wash it, and similar tasks. It has had an impact wrench on it only 3 times. This is Total Junk. Don't waste your money.
DO NOT BUY THIS COMPRESSOR! The first one I took home I returned because of a faulty air pressure guage. I took home a brand new replacement, and 4 months later, after light use, the pump blew out. I'm going to return it and get my money back. Craftsman let me down, shame.
I bought this compressor hoping it would last. I barely used it. Guess what? It started leaking air out of the auto/off switch. According to manual I can't fix it myself. I called Sears and no they won't fix it. Craftsman wants you to pay for the whole thing. Do not buy. The quality is out of the window with Craftsman.
Compressor came with small hole in tank along seam, a bent air filter housing. I could live with the bent housing which I fixed pretty quickly but a hole in the tank? What kind of quality control do they have, I guess the big made in china sticker on it should have clued me in. I will exchange it for another one. My last Craftsman compressor went about 20 years, somehow I don't think this one will.
