I had one that was horizontal and took up a lot of room this fits the bill just wish it wasn't so dang loud and it had a automatic shut off when it got to desired pressure. but it's perfect for the do it yourselfers

I have this compressor or should say had it not even a year and now its broken in my garage.I recieved it scratched up and bent up .Could have sent it back but it would have taken awhile for a new one.I kinda depend on this thing when I need it. I own alot of Craftsmen stuff this by far the greatest disappointment by far.

This is the loudest air compressor I have every heard. I specifically bought the Craftsmen brand thinking it would be top quality. I will be returning the unit and I would recommend you consider a differenct model and or brand.

This compressor was absolutely horrible. It was so loud, that when it ran, I had to leave the garage. And it took a long time to fill up to pressure, more than 6 minutes. I have always purchased Craftsman stuff, but Sears should be ashamed to sell something like this.
We used this compressor to paint the inside of our house, and sprayed the ceilings. We also cleaned our deck and the fence and aired the bike tires. Works great.,
Good air flow. Quickly charges with great air pressure. Portable and easily moved around. Great value for the price I paid. Easy setup and installation. Recommend...
Until I bought my 60 gallon puma. 3.8 CFM from this loud thing is insulting. Also, I noticed this piece of junk has 11 5-star reviews and 9 1-star reviews. Interesting how it still somehow gets an overall decent rating and is a "customer preferred" item because I sure as heck don't prefer it. I thought maybe I just got a defunct compressor but my neighbor bought the same exact one and his regulator didn't work out of the box and his head gaskets were installed incorrectly FROM THE FACTORY. I fixed it for him so it would stop blowing air out of the intake and start actually pumping it into the tank. I've fixed mine a number of times too. I gave up on Sears customer service a long time ago. Since I've got a real compressor (three times the size, half as loud) I'm taking this one out to a field and putting several bullets into it then I will return it to Sears. They'll send it back to China and probably sell it to someone else. Save your money.
