This is EXACTLY the set I was looking for

My Craftsman rolling tool box is filled to capacity, and I wanted something I could just grab and take with me on working "vacations."  This appears to be the perfect set for me.  I chose it over the 200-piece set because I thought it had more of the tools I would need (larger sockets and wrenches).  I like it.  For $85, I think it was a steal.

For those who want the full tool list (I did), here's how to figure it out:

-- Start with the tool list for the 181-piece Mechanic's Tool Set (#83049). (181)

  -- Add 44698, 44701, 44702, 44703 (Large SAE Combo Wrenches) (+4)

  -- Add 42924, 42925, 42929 (Large Metric Combo Wrenches) (+3)

  -- Add 44171, 44172, 44173, 44174 (The Flare Nut Wrenches) (+4)

  -- Add a 12-piece Nut Driver Bit Set (+12)

  -- The Hex Sets are 20-pieces apiece (46696 and 46677 instead of 46683 and 46684) (+12)

-- Subtract all of the T-handle Nut Drivers (you got a 12-piece Nut Driver Bit Set instead) (-15)

There you go.

My only complaint is that there are no snap-in "holders" for the large combo wrenches, and nothing to hold the Allen Wrenches.  I think I'll throw my two old Allen Wrench sets that have holders in my new case, and throw these new loose sets in my overloaded tool box.  Don't know what to do for the wrenches, though.  Don't rip open the plastic bags too fast; you may want to keep the one with the large wrenches.

Got it in two days; two days before Sears said they could give me the tracking number.  Hummmm . . .

Great tools for a great price

I got this set for a great price and I love it. This is my first craftman kit I bought myself. My dad has an old mechanics kit that I was always using so I decided to invest in my own now that I am not home as often. I searched around and tried to get the best bang for my buck, and I absolutely love this kit. It came with everything I needed. To spice it up, I bought a flex head 3/4 ratchet, and a universal joint kit for those hard to reach places. The best thing about craftsman, is that you can walk into the store with a broken rachet and hand it to the guy behind the counter, and he gives you one that works, and you leave happily. Its that easy. This is a good sized kit and I don't think it could get any better for the price.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Can't even package it correctly

Set is missing more than half the wrenches specified in the product description.  The sizes that I do have do not match the sizes stamped in the case.  I quit opening bags once I noticed the wrench issue.  Sears onlice customer service chat is of no help.  Their advice is to call the local store, which is currently being remodeled and has no stock whatsoever.  I'm returning it and I'm done with Sears

Fantastic Set

For an intermediate DIY'er this is a great set. A few pieces I will transfer out of my old set too but the extra space in the case allows for room to add pieces you'd like to have in it. For $100 you can't go wrong!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Phenomenal!

so far so good. I put these tools to work yesterday, to fix breaks and do a trans filter replacement which means dropping the trans plate. the tools held up and nothing broke, the clicks on the wrenches are close togeather, and always an upside Sears/ Craftsman's lifetime warrenty. the tools did the job done right the first time. even my coworkers are impressed that we don't need to go anywhere else for a tool we may need.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Perfect gift for a young man!

Certainly is difficult to find a gift to make a young guy smile. and this is it! Searched and searched for a gift for my 21 year old nephew, and realized how much he loves cars! He gave a big grin smile when he opened it!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
