Off the fence of gas or electric
I am a mid-30s guy, from the country, who has only owned gas powered lawn equipment. I'm writing this because the reviews I read on-line did not seem to relate to me, a guy who likes to mow his lawn. Yard conditions: 7"-10" tall Bermuda grass that was dry; approx. 3500sf Unpacking this mower to start-up took me 7 minutes, which included: reading the manual; removing all packaging; and setting the blade height (this mower has a single, no-tool needed, lever that adjusts all wheels at the same time - very nice). The mower comes prepared using the mulch function, which is what I used. Starting is ridiculous. Seriously just pressing a button. Not going to miss the pull-chord that I replaced 3 times! The back yard took me about 15% longer to mow than my previous gas powered mower, and the cut was not as even as the gas. Three things I figured may be the reason - 1.) grass was very high (read that electric mowers do not fair well in high grass), and 2.) this was my first time using an electric mower, so I probably went faster due to my experience with gas mowers (also it's super light, so there's a lot less resistance in turning), 3.) Chord management - it took me a few passes of holding the chord, throwing it over the mower and stepping over the chord before I figured out easier ways to move with the chord. Overall I am very satisfied with this mower. I can honestly say that I thought I would be taking it back. I gave the mower some tough conditions and it finished up a solid job. PS - super quiet, did not wake the neighbors sleeping baby (10 feet between our houses).

Happy with the purchase

Bought this lawn mower for my Dad, our gas is getting to hard for my Dad to start a lot of pulling and tugging. My Dad is eighty years old and refuses for me to hire a gardener. So we compomised and bought this electric one. It works great and really easy for my Dad to use.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Electric Mower

We have our lawn mowed but my husband wanted a small mower to trim the bank around his bushes. This works great and we do not have to store gasoline in the basement. He is very happy with it.

Craftsman Electric Mower

My gas mower finally died, so I went into Sears and met with saleswoman, Ruby. She was very helpful in explaining the different features of all of the mowers. I had never used an electric mower before, but am very satisfied with this purchase - just plug it in, push the button, and go. It's light and not as noisy as a gas motor (it sounds like a hurricane fan).

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Husband likes it

It's lighter than a gas mower and easier to push. It takes a few min to get used to having an a extension cord, but once u get the hang of it it's fine. Def worth purchasing for a smaller size yard.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great machine

We bought this to mow our dogs' enclosure as the gate is too small to get our larger mower through. It tackled even the tallest weeds which had gotten to 4' high. It's quiet and really does a great job.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
