21" 208cc* Single Stage Electric Start Snowblower Moves More Snow Faster
The Craftsman 21" 208cc* single stage electric start snowblower make removing snow so much easier so you can get out of the cold faster. It has a 208cc 4-cycle OHV engine that provides more power, longer life, and improved fuel economy. There is no need to mix gas and oil with this snowblower. It features an easy to operate electric push button start that fires up the snowblower in cold temperatures.
The 21" 208cc* single stage electric start snowblower clears a path 21-inches wide, and the 13-inch intake height lets you clear more snow every time you pass by. This snowblower is ideal for small to medium paved driveways, sidewalks and decks. The snow claw auger technology reduces clogs and throws snow further. It has a two-way remote joystick chute control and the chute rotates 190 degrees. Auger controlled forward speed with ground engaging auger paddles makes maneuvering the snowblower easy.

Others have commented on this design problem in the 21 inch snow blower . The lever in the middle that directs the snow throw has a design product and locks up and cannot be moved. This greatly interferes with snow removal. We bought the 5 year warranty. The warranty repair person has been out twice. Next time we use it the problem reoccurs. Repair guy said "design problem" and I agree. We like Sears/Craftsman and this is a big disappointment. We are going to try and get a trade in for a different model as even if they gave us a new one the 2014 model looks the same. The engine does a great job of removing the snow but you end up throwing it in the wrong direction.
I bought this snow blower in early December to replace a 25 year old, Sears single stage machine fortunately just before this years frequent storms. It cleared the wet, heavy snow and slush from the latest storm without hesitation something our 2-stage machine could not do. It's very easy to handle and the 4-cycle engine finally ends my long, love/hate relationship with 2-cycle machines!

Ordered this snow blower after my 4 year old dual stage Craftsman kicked the bucket. Out of the box setup was simple, had it running in minutes. I've used it half a dozen times as this point and I'm very impressed with how well this thing clears the snow. Throws it every bit as far as my dual stage. I love the head light and the joy stick like Chute turner. My only real complaint is there is a lot of plastic on this unit. The choke level is plastic and I worry that down the road the thing might snap off. But all in all it is a great snow blower, just wish a couple key pieces would have been made out of metal.
Worked like a charm. Easy assembly, start up and operation even for a non-mechanical guy like me. Electric start kicks right on - don't forget to adjust the choke down - plows through and blows away snow with ease. It's a smaller model but does the job asked of it. Wish the gas exhaust was less, and it was quieter, but still - I'm delighted with the purchase.
I read on-line reviews, knowing I was after a 21 inch electric start 4 cycle unit. This unit got top billing from consumer reviews.
Bought this unit after the winter season 2 yrs ago, and never got to use it. I live in a town home development and did not have room to store it, so this unit sat for 2 yrs at my friend's garage. This past week we had about 6 inches of snow. After 2 yrs I was eager to use the machine. I drove over to my friend's home, loaded it into my vehicle, and the next day after it stop snowing, I put oil and gas in the unit, plugged the unit into the electric and it started on the 1st push. I had the entire walkway of 9 homes finished in 2 passes what was about4 minutes. I then cleared 4 homes parking spaces which stores 2 cars each and it took maybe 10 minutes tops. Shoveling by hand use to take an entire day, I am older, and this machine worked great. I drove up to Fallston, Md. and cleared my little sister's driveway, and then drove to my dads home and cleared his driveway and was back home resting by the afternoon. This snow blower worked great, and cleared the snow down to the pavement/asphalt. No snow clogged the shoot and it was a wet snow. Can't wait to use it again.
Bought this unit last year and didn't get much use. This year it's just humming along. The machine has great power, runs on regular gas and has nice features. The machine sits outside all the time. (with a cover) Starts first pull every time, I never used the electric start. Throws snow well and handles the pile made by the street plow at the end of my driveway great. I have a 3 car garage and it clears it with ease. The headlight is a great adder in the evenings and surprisingly casts a good amount of light. Very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend to anyone looking at a new machine. It replaced a 15 year old Toro and I don't miss mixing the gas every time for sure.

i got this this year. just used it for the first time today. the snow was a very wet one and other than if i went to fast it would clog up at the chute but would clear itself out but it was throwing the wet snow from 3 feet to 6 feet started right up. coarse have the electric starter. only thing that i dont like is when i do the wheel chair ramp. it keeps getting stuck on it. only con i have seen but just something on the ramp sitting up just a little but enough to stop the blower. so not blowers fault.
looking forward to using my craftsman single stage snowblower. this is my second craftsman snowblower i have owned since being a homeowner for 28 years. so i hope to have the same results with this one.
