21" 208cc* Single Stage Electric Start Snowblower Moves More Snow Faster
The Craftsman 21" 208cc* single stage electric start snowblower make removing snow so much easier so you can get out of the cold faster. It has a 208cc 4-cycle OHV engine that provides more power, longer life, and improved fuel economy. There is no need to mix gas and oil with this snowblower. It features an easy to operate electric push button start that fires up the snowblower in cold temperatures.
The 21" 208cc* single stage electric start snowblower clears a path 21-inches wide, and the 13-inch intake height lets you clear more snow every time you pass by. This snowblower is ideal for small to medium paved driveways, sidewalks and decks. The snow claw auger technology reduces clogs and throws snow further. It has a two-way remote joystick chute control and the chute rotates 190 degrees. Auger controlled forward speed with ground engaging auger paddles makes maneuvering the snowblower easy.

Purchased online dec. 2013 for pending snow storm. I used it 3 times then had to shovel during the rest of winter. This single stage is belt driven. It was doing great until the belt snapped and destroyed the plastic belt wheel. Sears tech was GOOD and replaced the broken parts. This happened 3 times. Everytime i used it the belt snapped. I kid you not. Save your money and go double stage. Avoid the belt driven thing at all cost.
This is just the right size to a good job, yet small enough for easy use and storage. This replaced a Lawn boy 20inch/3hp blower that I had for 15 years. It was becoming hard to prime and start. Went looking for a new one yesterday and found this. Didn't realize blowers this size had electric starts. Received 5 inches of snow overnight and this cleared a two car drive, a good portion of our cul-de-sac and a large deck in about 30 minutes. It takes my neighbors much longer, dealing with the larger 2-stage blowers. The fact that it uses straight gas and not a gas oil/mixture is a big plus too. Very satisfied.
I purchased this blower right before the big storm hit Jersey a couple of weeks ago. I'm a contractor and I expect good performance from my tools. This blower worked beyond my expectations. It has good power and throws snow further away than I had thought. It started up easily with no need of the electric starter. I tested the electric starter and it started on the first push of a button. I noticed many people had issues with the joystick chute controller but I didn't. I have used it about 5 times already since the big snow storm and it worked flawleslly every time. This little guy performed just as well as some of my neighbors' dual stage blowers. I recommend to anyone with a normal size driveway and home. Bigger driveways I recommend going with a dual stage blower. If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to contact me via my website at smartfixhomeimprovement.com
Seems silly for the head light to be on at all times. I'll put an "on/off switch for it. Has a lot of good features for a single stage. I'd recommend it.
I have had only one opportunity to use my new snow blower once, but it performed outstanding! For years I have had a much larger and heavier snow blower with rubber tracks on it. It was very hard to maneuver and to redirect. I noticed my neighbor had a much smaller blower and I said I would buy one too. Of course it did not snow for the next two years, but when it did this year I bought this smaller blower. With Its new technology, it completed my corner lot wrap around sidewalk very fast and completely. I believe the extra 208 cc HP helped with its performance.

Others have commented on this design problem in the 21 inch snow blower . The lever in the middle that directs the snow throw has a design product and locks up and cannot be moved. This greatly interferes with snow removal. We bought the 5 year warranty. The warranty repair person has been out twice. Next time we use it the problem reoccurs. Repair guy said "design problem" and I agree. We like Sears/Craftsman and this is a big disappointment. We are going to try and get a trade in for a different model as even if they gave us a new one the 2014 model looks the same. The engine does a great job of removing the snow but you end up throwing it in the wrong direction.
I bought this snow blower in early December to replace a 25 year old, Sears single stage machine fortunately just before this years frequent storms. It cleared the wet, heavy snow and slush from the latest storm without hesitation something our 2-stage machine could not do. It's very easy to handle and the 4-cycle engine finally ends my long, love/hate relationship with 2-cycle machines!

Ordered this snow blower after my 4 year old dual stage Craftsman kicked the bucket. Out of the box setup was simple, had it running in minutes. I've used it half a dozen times as this point and I'm very impressed with how well this thing clears the snow. Throws it every bit as far as my dual stage. I love the head light and the joy stick like Chute turner. My only real complaint is there is a lot of plastic on this unit. The choke level is plastic and I worry that down the road the thing might snap off. But all in all it is a great snow blower, just wish a couple key pieces would have been made out of metal.
Worked like a charm. Easy assembly, start up and operation even for a non-mechanical guy like me. Electric start kicks right on - don't forget to adjust the choke down - plows through and blows away snow with ease. It's a smaller model but does the job asked of it. Wish the gas exhaust was less, and it was quieter, but still - I'm delighted with the purchase.
