Started on very fist pull
My last Craftsman mower lasted for years until I bent the shaft. I decided to just get a new one rather than pay a lot of money to get an old mower working again. This new mower was easy to "assemble" out of the box - just unscrew, pull handles all the way out and screw again. Adding oil was a bit annoying - awkward location for filler. Use a funnel. But, honestly, how often do people actually change the oil in a mower. :-) I filled up the gas tank, then gave it one relatively gentle pull after priming. It started right up and chopped up some overgrown stuff leaving no visible debris.

Think before buying
This product is not "Senior user-friendly". A major disadvantage is the placement of the oil fill tube. It is located behind the muffler under the blower housing, in the engine block and above the mower deck. The oil full tube cap and dipstick are difficult to remove with very limited "finger" space. I would not recommend this mower for seniors and/or others who have problems stooping/bending over.

Great mower for the price

We are on a limited budget so decided to find a good mower for the price and got it in early April. The mower was easy to assemble and set up, filled up with oil and it started right up. I have used it for at least 5+ hours of use and still runs good. I mowed it thru about 6 inches of grass at someone's place, the engine slowed down slightly but still kept on going. It did stall once due to too much grass so I had to clear it up. I hope it lasts for a long time, but we will see! This is my first lawn mower.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

EASY!!!!!!

I replaced and old Toro I had, wasnt worth the price to fix it. I took a chance on this mower and was very pleased. Light weight, easy assembly doesn't get much easier to attach the bag. The oil cap is in a weired spot not alot of room if you just wanted to use your fingers to remove it. I bought it and had it up and running with in about 20 minutes. I wont go back to Toro after this purchase. The best part was my grass was really high and this mower stepped to the challange like a champ!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Less than a year old and broke.

I should have listened to all the bad reviews. I bought this mower less than a year ago. Right out of the box it ran like ****. I used the mower three times before I put it away for the winter. Now this year I tried to start it and of course not starting. Took back to Sears to get repaired. I have the extended warranty. That was two weeks ago. I get a call saying that the mower is ready for pick up. Go to the Sears and its not there. Now Im waiting to call the 1-800 number. Bottom line DO NOT BUY THIS MOWER!!!! PURE JUNK!!! I just created this profile to tell about this bad product.

misfire already!

bought this mower to replace a craftsman mower that served me well for 8 years or so. i could tell just by lifting it out of the box it was made cheaper (about half the weight of old mower). set up was easy accept for oil fill. need screwdriver and funnel. fired it up for first time and thought i detected a miss in engine but it was real faint. well, used it for the second time and definitly has a misfire and getting worse. i don't have high hopes for this mower. the upside is its easier to push because of it's light weight but i don't think i'll be pushing it for long.so much for craftsman reliability.

Love it!

I replaced a 13 year old Craftsman push mower with this one and I can tell you so far I love it. The only con is where the oil goes in is a little hard to get to but with a flat head screw driver it is a snap. Light weight, easy for me to crank. That is what I was looking for since I have had a few birthdays since the last mower.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Value

Started on first pull. Easy to "build" and to maintain. Sure you can spend $40-50 more and get a little bit bigger engine, but in my opinion you can't beat this for under $200. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the oil cap is more difficult to reach than others and the gas tank isn't as convenient as others. Overall though I'm glad I saved the money and got this machine.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
