Started on very fist pull
My last Craftsman mower lasted for years until I bent the shaft. I decided to just get a new one rather than pay a lot of money to get an old mower working again. This new mower was easy to "assemble" out of the box - just unscrew, pull handles all the way out and screw again. Adding oil was a bit annoying - awkward location for filler. Use a funnel. But, honestly, how often do people actually change the oil in a mower. :-) I filled up the gas tank, then gave it one relatively gentle pull after priming. It started right up and chopped up some overgrown stuff leaving no visible debris.

Think before buying
This product is not "Senior user-friendly". A major disadvantage is the placement of the oil fill tube. It is located behind the muffler under the blower housing, in the engine block and above the mower deck. The oil full tube cap and dipstick are difficult to remove with very limited "finger" space. I would not recommend this mower for seniors and/or others who have problems stooping/bending over.

Nice Mower for the money

Easy to adjust height, ease of assembly, and started on first pull. Oil reservoir difficult to get to and bag has to be set just right or leaks grass. Overall though, a good mower for the money. Thanks-

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Content with product

Very glad we decided to buy this product. It was very easy to start up and a breeze to use. The bag does a great job of collecting all the trash (grass). And changing the levels on the machine was easy too. Haven't noticed any issues with it, so it's definitely a good investment.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

mowing in my spare time

This is an excellent push mower for the money. I used a Husqvarna 21" Rear bagger prior to purchasing the Craftsman. I must say the craftsman is or appears to be much lighter and easier to push. Very pleased with this machine.

Good choice

This was just the mower that I needed for my yard. It is the right size and is easy for me to maneuver over the different landscaped areas that I have to maintain. It handles well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
Push mower is pretty good

This push mower has a wide mowing strip. It is wider than my last mower with a bag. When the bag is full you can tell because it kinda makes a sound different than when it's running and not full. I used this and it is pretty smooth turning corners.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
It's an okay lawn mower, but time will tell how long it lasts.

I guess I had higher expectations, everything is made so cheap these days. I thought Craftsman made a quality product, but this is mediocre at best. I guess I was expecting more, it does cut grass good and is easy to push but I did notice a little bogging and my grass wasn't that long, I wish I would have bought one with the 190CC motor for another $25.00 or so. As mentioned in another review the oil fill plug is in an awkward location, I had to remove the plastic engine cover to have better access. I read to drain the oil you have to tilt the mower on it's side and the oil drains out of the fill tube, there's no drain plug underneath. I guess you get what you pay for, I have a 1986 Snapper and it still runs but the self drive went out and it's heavy to push manually and I don't want to repair it due to its age. I paid over $400.00 for that 28 years ago and I replaced the motor once and did some repairs to the self drive, but this mower was half the price years later so maybe I'm being a little to critical. It looks like most mowers in this price range are built by the same manufacturer from the looks of them. I can't comment on bagging, I usually just mulch the grass and leaves. The wheel adjustment is nice, you just adjust one side for front and back, and it does start easily, usually the first pull.
