Unique and Effective Rotating Handle
It's a decent product and other than the rotating handle, it's really no different than the B&D unit I bought 25 years ago. The blade action doesn't purr like my late dad's Wahl Senior 5-Star hair clippers (he was a barber); it's as mechanically loud as the old B&D hedge trimmers. I recognize the safety lock is a safety feature, but, it can be a little tight to pull and I suspect a weaker person could struggle trying to engage it and attempt to use two hands; a greater safety risk. Since I have no kids around the house, I decided to eliminate the safey lock. This can be done by pulling back on the safety switch as far out as it will go, drill a small hole and insert a small, short panhead screw to lock it into place. The result provides you with an easy trigger mechanism and greater control while trimming. Just remember to remove the screw before lending the unit to your brother-in-law (if that's applicable). At the sale price of $34.99 + tax, it's a decent buy.

BAD TRIMMER
Trimmer poorly constructed with vibration enough to loosen screws on the blade. Even after reattaching they came loose again... this is not what I though Craftsmen quality was..Black & Decker unit I had for over twenty years finally was worn out..I tossed this one and bought a B&D trimmer..should have done this to begin !

Easy to handle

This trimmer seems to be powerful enough for the task I bought it for. The hedges down the side of my house have grown considerably and the trimmer makes short work of them. I was suprised that the thicker branches did cut well. The trimmer is light weight and usable with one hand. One added bonus is the 180 degree rotation of the handle which I did not think I would use, but seems to take the stress off your arms.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Safety lock is a pain

Nice trimmer except trying to press the trigger and pulling back on the saftey lock.I spent more time trying to get the trimmer powered up than I did doing the trimming. I'm returning it back to the store. This is a very bad design flaw.

Hedge Trimmer

This trimmer works well and handles nicely. The only problem I had was getting it to start each time because of the difficulty of pulling back the button which in turn allows you to squeeze the trigger to start the action. I guess it is a good safety feature though to prevent accidental starting.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Does its job!

Works very well like any other hedger... CameraShy is 100% accurate. My husband has no problem with the safety lock. I, however, have a hard time with it... very stiff... we a child though, so not rigging it up just yet! :)

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman Hedge Trimmer

I have used the trimmer once since purchasing and it made quick work of trimming the bushes around my house. It seemed to have plenty of power for ornamental bushes, but would not have enough power for trimming larger bushes or trrs.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Disappointed

I had to replace my old 22" Craftsman so i bought this one. It died on the first use. Had to return it to get a new one. Also does not come with a protective sheath for the blade. The older models came with a hard plastic sheath.

Lovin' It Considering I Am A 1st Time User

I am proud to say that this was my 1st time using any type of hedge trimmers and it was a success. I trimmed a total of 10 bushes and they look perfectly round.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Gets the job done!

This hedge trimmer had plenty of power to trim all my bushes (about 10 in all). It was my DIY attempt at trimming hedges. It's simple to operate. The rotation feature is a plus. The safety switch would get stuck at times which made it hard for me to start the unit. I'm not sure if this is an isolated problem with my unit or it's an overall design issue. I believe another customer faced a similar issue.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
