Great blade

I don't mulch so i don't know about that but this blade does a great job of blowing the grass all the way into the bag instead of clogging the bag openning and then pasteing the rest of the grass to the top of the mower

22" Advanced Mulching Blade design does not live up to the claim

Interesting design but did not seem like it does what it claims.  The clippings did not seem any smaller than the blade that came with the Craftsman mover which was recently sharpened.  The grass clipping after a week since last mow were compared side by side.  The fins on the Adv blade seems to make the mower louder which is probably the wind resistance from the curved up fins.  This constant wind resistance I would assume putting an unnecessary load on the motor which I think will in turn reduces the efficiency of the mower (eating more gas) while turning out the same grass clippings.

22" Advanced Mulching Blade - does not live up to it's claim

I was somewhat disappointed with this blade. It did indeed produce smaller grass clippings, however, it did not have the increased pick-up power as claimed, in fact, I experienced a decrease in pick-up power. In addition, my lawn seemed to be very uneven - many blades of grass were left uncut, especially down the center of my cut. I think I'm going to return this product and will continue to use my traditional mulching blade.

I expected better.

This blade was a "special offer" for purchase with the Craftsman 190cc* 22'' Front Drive Self-Propelled EZ Lawn Mower (Sears Item# 07137041000 | Model# 37041) but no mention was made regarding an adapter that is needed to make this blade fit. It's going back, unless Sears can provide such an adapter. This was not a minor purchase for me; I expected better.

Advanced Mulching & Bagging Blade

After dealing with a Craftsman 22" lawnmower for 7 years, I spoke with my wife on there has to be a better way to mulch our leaves from the many trees we have in our yard. Our children is gone now and we aren't as young as we use to be. The yard isn't big enough to purchase a riding mower but hilly enough to where it is taxing. We purchased a self-propelled mower and it helped but then the bagging was still aggravating, it filled up way to fast. So I went online to Sears and found this "Advanced Mulching" blade and installed it. It carries a higher depth on the curved fingers and the pickup has been great. It mulches way more than the standard blade does and I don't have to run back over what I've already done. The weight of the bag is more, but I feel like I've done something everytime I empty the bag. When the yard is clean after one trip around I always wish I'd found this years ago. Only hold back I have, is I had to install it extra from my purchase. This should be sold on the mower; Craftsman Blade on a Craftsman Mower, why isn't it an automatic feature?

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Crafsman mulching blade performance

Rhis blades leaves the grass uncut. After mowed the grass remains at a different lenght . I have to go back over the raised grass to make it even. Takes me twice aslong to mow the grass. Very disappointed, i'LL PROBABLY BUY ANOTHER BLADE AND THROW THIS ONE OUT. iT WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE BLADE.

Mighty Mulcher

This blade really cuts the grass into tiny pieces. Our last mulcher blade left lots of visible pieces of grass around. This one does do it.

Our old blade had another issue too -- some of our grass would lay flat when the mower went over it and then spring back up when the mower was gone. This blade seems to create enough suction to draw the grass into an upright position and then cut it.

Really like the blade and I think because it's painted red, it goes faster--ha!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Cuts through anything, but WAY too many clippings left on lawn

I do NOT recommend this blade for mulching. The only purpose for me buying this replacement blade was so that I did not have to bag the clippings to have a neat lawn. Even with a short interval between mowings, the amount of grass left on top of lawn is unacceptable. Also, this blade provided me no advantage while bagging. The bag filled in same amount of time with this blade vs the standard blade that came with mower. However, If you need a blade that will cut through just about anything without bogging down the motor, this one will do the trick. If you want a neat lawn, steer clear of this blade.
