The last replacement blade I bought at *****. It didnt last 1 season. Figured I would have saved time and got a better product by buying a craftsman. I am please with my choice, it cuts well, and is designed well.

Craftsman Lawn Mower Blades - Tough & Ready I replace my lawn mower blade at the beginning of Spring every year to ensure a great cut thru the cutting season. The Craftsman Blades are designed well & will last the entire season. The mulching blade is tough and can handle small twigs & sticks all season. I have plenty in my yard all the time. The mulching blade also does a great job at cutting the grass into small pieces that settle into the lawn well after cutting. I have always been completely satisfied with everything I have bought that has the Craftsman name on it. To me it says dependable, tough, top quality, well built and in general "The Best". In my opinion you to will be completely satisfied with all purchases that have the Craftsman name on it.

This is the "standard" blade SEARS is putting on all their Craftsman mowers. It came installed on my new (Spring 09) self-propelled 22" Mulching deck (with side discharge) mower. Because my town no longer collects clippings I only mulch. I was totally disappointed by the cutting quality, which was leaving lines & clumps of cut grass, and would bog down the mower in anything wet. I was ready to return the mower after the 4th mowing, but instead I installed the three year old blade (#141114) from my old Craftsman push mower, and the improvement was amazing! The remainder of the summer cutting was flawless. Just to test myself I reinstalled the Original (#406713) aka 71-33256 blade (of this review), and the poor performance was back. This blade is probably good for Bagging, and maybe for Side Discharge, but it is terrible for Mulching. If you want a Mulching blade then buy a Sears 71-33365 (#141114) blade.
