So I do my share of wood working and I have several bar clamps from different manufactures. I keep coming back to buy this Craftsman version. I own 6" 12" and 24" versions and they all work well. I like that the release trigger also expands the jaws. The reversible jaw is also handy. Clamping power is sufficient, although not the tightest of the clamps I own.

There are a huge number of bar clamps out there on the market. I have found that this clamp by Craftsman to fill all my requirements. It is important that you choose the correct size for the job at hand. Craftsman offers a wide range of sizes in this style clamp starting at 4-1/2" and going up to 36" I have used the 24" model on several projects. It has proven very useful for glue-ups of butcher-block cutting boards. The wide padded contact edges provide a very stable clamping surface and will not harm the workpiece. No woodworking shop it complete with out a set of these clamps.

I have used these clamps for over two years. From small projects glueing up a couple pieces of 4/4 hobby wood to large cutting boards, these do the job well and reliably each and every time. I prefer these to other mfr clamps; the Craftsman clamps are a great product and can be a great deal when they go on sale.

I received one as a Christmas present in 2010 and I have since put it to good use on many occasions. It slides easily to position it and it is super simple to switch from a clamp to a spreader. I used it while building a workbench recently and with the over-sized face it was even able to help pull a board down and hold it flush while I screwed it down. This clamp definitely helped to save the day. I would recommend this clamp to anyone doing woodwork that may need a second set of hands to help hold things in place.

I do lots of woodworking for a hobby. Like many I have been lured in by the inexpensive sets of bar clamps that you think will get the job done. And they do, until they break at the worst possible time. I got this clamp as a gift last Christmas and have used it constantly because it does not break and it is easy to use one handed. I plan to by them in every size that they offer, maybe I'll get more for Christmas this year too.
