great ball pein hammer, nice to be able to find a wood handle hammer still.

Kinda hard to screw up manufacturing a hammer. It works like it should.

I know that there have been a great many changes in Hammer design over the decades. There are now steel, fiberglass and even composite handled hammers. For a purist like me, however, nothing matches the feel of a good old fashioned hickory handle. This ball pein hammer takes me back to a day with things were simpler and the job at hand was worth doing right, if it was worth doing at all. One cool little note, is that the Craftsman Logo is burned right into the handle of each hammer. No stickers to peal off leaving a gooing mess which attracts dirt and grime. Remember that quality work requires quality tools!

Craftsman makes excellent hammers, and this one is no exception. I've owned it for over 20 years, and it looks like it. This hammer has seen some heavy use and it takes it like a quality tool should. The hickory handle is comfortable, the head is a nice weight for striking cold chisels and nail pullers and other striking tools.

I bought this hammer about 3 months ago and I use it quite often. The handle is sturdy and well made. The shock isn't bad either on your hands. The head of it is big enough for a lot of my projects whether it be the striking end or the ball end. i would give it 5 stars =)
