everyone should have one

OK, nobody's going to get super excited by a rubber mallet. But this one's well built, and it works fine, and it's the kind of thing where you think you've gotten along for years without one, do you really need one? And then you get one and you use it ten times more often than you thought. There's just a lot of situations where you might need a little more force than you can provide by hand but a hammer's going to mar the surface. Yes, you can play around with padding and hope for the best, or you can just grab your mallet and be done with it. Just as an example, this one paid for itself ten times over when I had to dissemble a bed in a hurry so movers could move it - as they waited on the clock - because nobody thought to check if it actually came apart after 15 years of use. Oops. Even the big huge movers couldn't budge the components by hand, but a few taps with the mallet and the job was done with no damage.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great mallet

A rubber mallet is one of those simple tools that you never really think about, but this is a big improvement on the cheap ones with a big lump of black rubber. It has a good weight, but is easily controlled. Nice hickory handle, black and white rubber to avoid the smudge marks you often see after a poorly placed mallet strike. Made in USA - what more could you ask.

Craftsman 24 oz. Rubber Mallet

This mallet sure beats the heck out of prying loose a pitman arm when it doesn't want to budge!  Perfect for loosening the front end parts of an old Firebird and we didn't mar or break anything!

Thanks Crafstman and Sears, you saved me again!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Close to perfect!

This mallet is close to perfect. I picked it up the other day as I had a small patio project going. I was laying patio block near my back porch area and I used this tool to help me get the 16x16 inch patio pavers into place. This mallet worked perfectly, had 2 nice striking surfaces, a strong hickory handle which absorbed the shock nicely, and I noticed that I didn't have to swing near as hard as when using a rubber mallet. This tool helped me get my job done fast and with less effort. Job well done! And, of coarse it carries the legendary lifetime warranty too!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

A nice heavy striking tool that won't damage your work-service

I have spent a lot of time searching for the perfect rubber mallet.  I wanted a tool that was heavy enough to make a strong impact on the works-service without having to swing for the fence.  I also felt it was important to have a strong wooden handle to absorb the shock of these strikes.

I am happy to report that this mallet fills my needs perfectly!

As a bonus I got a double face on the mallet which give me two different densities of striking performance.  I am very happy with this tool and I think you will be too!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
