I have owned this mower for about three years and last week it lost power to move. Found that my hydro transmission was bad, The cost for the parts alone to replace it is $850 from Sears. I will junk this mower before sinking that much into a repair on it. BTW most of them use some variation of the same Tuff Torq K46 transaxle. If you buy this garbage be sure to get the extended warranty you will need it. This was supposed to be rated as a garden tractor?!? What a joke, it can't even pull it's own weight. Craftsman are cheap for what you get. But remember you get what you pay for. Once again I learned the hard way.
This is a great machine. It is a lot bigger than I expected. It is actually too big for my little yard I got but it does the job good.

In the specifications it shows Ground Engaging equipment - Yes. Then after I purchased I decided to purchase a pull behind Box Scraper and discovered all of the Ground Engaging (GE) attachment specs, including the Sleeve Hitch, indicated compatible with 23" or larger rear tire tractors only. The store associates assured me this tractor could handle the GE attachments and suggested I look at the Husqvarna website specs (same tractor, Husqvarna branding) which manufactures these Garden tractors for Sears. Sure enough, it shows 22" tires or larger compatibility with GE attachments and Sleeve Hitch. I purchased a Sears Sleeve Hitch and Agri-Fab Box Scraper and it all bolts right on and work great. This tractor has no problem pulling and pushing loose and packed soil and rocks. It also mows nicely, turning radius is very tight, not Zero-turn, but better than I expected.
Just received the mower, it came set-up ready to go, you just need to adjust the wheels on the deck. It does a good job of cutting the lawn evenly and mulches without clumping. Can't yet comment on reliability.
I love it you press a button and it start up,and it very powerful,
Does a good job. Had it for 2 weeks.
We purchased this tractor after considering other prominent brands. We replaced a Scotts riding mower that eventually could not handle our lawn. This tractor cuts our 3.5 acres very well. The ride can be rough at times on our uneven and hilly yard. Overall, we are pleased with our purchase.
This tractor is light in the back end, so had some trouble climbing the hills in my yard. I had to let out some of the air in the tires, so it would quit spinning out. I will definitely need to purchase some chains or bar tires for this tractor. I love the keyless start, safety features, reserve gas tank and the way my lawn looks after cutting with it. The smaller deck allows me to haul it in the bed of my Chevy Colorado (mid size pickup), with the tailgate down of course. It took some time to get used to the accelerator. All accelerating must be done with the side shifter by hand. The 2014 models do not have pedals to engage the transmission. I have not used ground engaging tools yet, but it seems to have enough power to handle them.

Bought the tractor and two days after delivery called to cancel the purchase. I have an 8 year old Sears tractor of similar HP and design and the new tractor is less sturdy and of poorer quality. I don't like the new keyless ignition, too complicated and would be expensive to replace. The ride is rough and very uncomfortable. The service contract for $700 seems like a waste of money but then you'd probably need service help a lot. Too bad the quality has dropped. I have had three Sears tractors in the past 35 years.
I've had the tractor now going on 3 weeks. I purchased from a local store (Pineville) and the guys there were great. Very helpful. After doing what seems like hours of research, I feel really good I have purchased this tractor. Very strong, comfortable and easy to use. I like the keyless feature, that was easy to setup, and the hydrostatic transmission is easy to use as well. I have close to 3/4 of an acre to cut and it can be done in the same amount of time it took with the zero turn I had before.
