Dual-Stage Snowblower Clears Snow in Record Time
It's time to retire your old snow shovel and start clearing the icy masses from your driveway and walkways with a Craftsman 24'' snowblower. This lightweight blower has a strong and effective four-cycle, 179cc OHV engine that blows snow out of your way in minutes, meaning you spend much less time on the task than when you use a shovel for the job. The modern design includes an easy push-button electric starting system that gets the blower revving whenever you need it, even in subzero weather. And unlike older snow blowers, there's no need to mix gas and oil to get the machine started.
The Dual-Stage Snowblower has an oversized 24-inch clearing width that gets the job done fast, even when you're clearing snow from large driveways, big yards or decks. To remove heavy, wet snow, sludge or ice, power up the 12-inch serrated steel auger or 12-inch impeller to break up the icy, impacted blocks and blow them out of your way. With eight different speeds, six forward and two backward, you can easily adjust the thrower to clear light to heavy snow buildup from all areas of your landscape.
- The Craftsman 24'' snowblower comes equipped with a remote crank and chute direction control to make adjustments without leaving the operator's position.
- Push button starting makes for easy starts, even in the coldest conditions.
- Large 13-inch-by-4-inch X-Trac tires keep the tool steady with superior traction for extra easy maneuverability and safety.
- Glide Tech, reversible skid shoes, are long lasting and prevent scratching of brick and paver drives and will not leave rust stains in your garage.
- Plow handles increase control of the blower and reduce pressure on your legs and lower back.

I've had this unit since 2008. Same model. Same engine. Same everything. For these last five years I've never needed the electric start. One pull with proper priming and it fires right away. My wife can start it herself just the same. I've tackled numerous blizzards with this little machine and I can't say enough of it. This last February (2013) we had a blizzard in CT that dropped three feet of snow. If this thing could talk, I'd swear it would say, "No problem. Let's do this!" It just...works. Change the oil, follow a proper maintenance plan, keep it clean, lubricated, check bolts for tightness and make sure your intake's shoes are properly adjusted. You'll have a fine workhorse for even the worst storms. I'm going five winters strong with well over 50 storms here in NW CT. Not a thing replaced! I challenge you to find another review with that kind of experience!

Bought this on 11-21-13. Sears has the excellent home delivery service and they delivered it on time. Took 10 minutes to put the chute and lock in the handles. The engine oil was already in the machine. Plugged in the electric code and started the blower using the electric start and it fired right up. Seems to be an excellent machine for the price. Now, I have to wait for the snow fall to try it out.

We had purchased this snowblower last year and it was very easy to start and to run. Worked great. We decided to buy another one this year and give as a gift to a family member. So easy to manuever, instructions are easy to follow, starts with electric start or pull cord. Either way is not difficult at all. The size is just right for any big job. The throw spout is easy to transfer the blowing snow to wherever you care to disguard it. Really gets it out of your way. We are ready for those Iowa winters and big snow falls. The customer service was great. I ordered it online and within minutes I had an email where I could pick it up for ************* and it was ordered, I was notified and it was picked up all in the same day. The store staff were very helpful and friendly and demonstrated how the snowblower worked and pointed out how to start, what to check for oil and where the gas level was when filling the snowblower. They rechecked the oil to make sure all was good to go with the machine. So glad for this purchase.
bought this craftsman snow blower two weeks ago. dough I have not yet tested it. its seems like its well build and strong machine. Well upgrade my review once I test its in the snow....
Great deal on this unit. Only minor differences between this and the next upgraded model and they were mostly convenience items. Assembly was super easy now can't wait for it to snow!!

Everything was boxed well. Seemed to have all the parts. Since snow is not expected for more than 30 days I didn't want to put fuel in it just yet to test it. I will say that I don't like all the plastic. No one makes anything to last anymore. The clips holding on the chute will certainly fail in time. Plastic and freezing temps do not play well together. Although, at least the blades are metal which is why I chose the Crastsman version of the MTD product.

I like my snow blower, but the people at Independence center didn't assemble it. I worked for sears for 17 years and we ALWAYS assembled snow throwers unless the customer requested it in a crate.
