Dual-Stage Snowblower Clears Snow in Record Time
It's time to retire your old snow shovel and start clearing the icy masses from your driveway and walkways with a Craftsman 24'' snowblower. This lightweight blower has a strong and effective four-cycle, 179cc OHV engine that blows snow out of your way in minutes, meaning you spend much less time on the task than when you use a shovel for the job. The modern design includes an easy push-button electric starting system that gets the blower revving whenever you need it, even in subzero weather. And unlike older snow blowers, there's no need to mix gas and oil to get the machine started.
The Dual-Stage Snowblower has an oversized 24-inch clearing width that gets the job done fast, even when you're clearing snow from large driveways, big yards or decks. To remove heavy, wet snow, sludge or ice, power up the 12-inch serrated steel auger or 12-inch impeller to break up the icy, impacted blocks and blow them out of your way. With eight different speeds, six forward and two backward, you can easily adjust the thrower to clear light to heavy snow buildup from all areas of your landscape.
- The Craftsman 24'' snowblower comes equipped with a remote crank and chute direction control to make adjustments without leaving the operator's position.
- Push button starting makes for easy starts, even in the coldest conditions.
- Large 13-inch-by-4-inch X-Trac tires keep the tool steady with superior traction for extra easy maneuverability and safety.
- Glide Tech, reversible skid shoes, are long lasting and prevent scratching of brick and paver drives and will not leave rust stains in your garage.
- Plow handles increase control of the blower and reduce pressure on your legs and lower back.

I door busted on TG night for this rig. This has been the coldest winter in 30 years with weekly snow for additional fun. The 179cc has been great! I am glad I got it since at first I thought it was too much for a city house and driveway but without it I would be in rehab or have paid $1000+ for snow service. Starts every time with 1 pull - I've used the starter but too much hassle to deal with a frozen extension cord so no need. This B blasts snow 30 feet back into the street so the city plows can make a nice 2 ft ice ridge in front of my driveway- repeat/ all winter. Obviously you want to hit the hard ice with a dirt shovel first and then attack with the 179 but don't point that chute at your neighbor's Benz because your sweet 179 is a lethal ice cannon!

Great snowblower! It's done a great job of removing all of the heavy, wet snow we've received over the last serveral weeks. A wise investment made just in the nick of time!
I bought it at the store pre-assembled. When I used it, I found that reverse 1 still went forward. I called about the problem and was told that I would have to bring it to their service dept. which is 110 miles round trip and probably have to drop it off and repeat the 110 miles to pick it up after it was repaired or pay $96 to have someone come out and fix it.
This was one of the lower end models they had in the store. I figured it had plenty of power for what I needed, but when I cranked it up, there was more than I was expecting. Fantastic first experience with it. High quality, easy to assemble, and it easily got the job done. What else do you expect from craftsman.
The new snowblower was very easy to get running and handles deeper snow drifts with ease. The self propelled feature is also a nice advantage for this years deeper snow. We are a two snowblower family now but when the snowfall really piles up, we are ready, willing, and able for the snow removal task. The electric start is a nice feature but we are finding that the manual pull cord start only requires a light one-time pull and the unit is running.
After owning a terrible cub cadet unit this craftsman unit out performed my old cub cadet snowblower in every way possible. This unit is exceptional for the price
Bought this two months ago to replace another Sears snow thrower. The old one still works great, but it just wasn't up to the job(s). It was more of a snow broom (although gas powered) and as I told She Who Must Be Obeyed once a major snow event was forecast: "I just don't think the 9 year old thrower is gonna cut it." Bought it, used it, and it tore through 5" of snow (dry) with no problems. The last snow fall we got was about 7" (dry) and it tore through that up, too. I can do my car port (two cars with lots of turn around room), my driveway (about 4 car lengths) and half the other driveways in the neighborhood in about an hour. (What good is having a new toy without playing with it?) Haven't had a wet snow yet, but having the probe clipped to the front will be useful. Heck, if it's highly rated in places where they get REAL snow, it's great here. Would recommend.
