Product Description

Dual-Stage Snowblower Makes Clearing Snow Quick and Easy

Put away your old snow shovel and start clearing your driveway and walkways with a Craftsman 24' Snowblower. This easy-to-handle 24 in. tool has a powerful 4-cycle, 208cc OHV engine that easily moves blows snow out of your way in less than half the time it takes to shovel out a driveway the old-fashioned way. The state-of-the-art design includes an easy push button electric starting switch that gets you started immediately, even in the most frigid temperatures-no tedious mixing of gas and oil.

The Dual-Stage Snowblower has an impressive 24 in. clearing width that gets the job done fast, even when you're clearing oversized driveways and large porches and decks. To remove packed snow, sludge and ice, engage the 12 in. serrated steel auger or 12 in. impeller to break up the masses and blow them out of your way. With 8 different speeds, 6 forward and 2 backward, you can easily adjust the thrower to clear light to heavy snowfall all over your property.

  • Craftsman 24' Snowblower is equipped with an EZ rotation chute to quickly and easily direct icy deposits anywhere you aim.
  • Extra long chute gives better aim and reduces snow blowing back on the operator.
  • Large 13 in. x 4 in. X-Trac tires keep the tool steady for extra maneuverability and safety.
  • Easy-grip handle is easy to operate while wearing gloves or mittens.
  • Plow handles increase control and reduce pressure on legs and lower back.

Fantastic
I've had this Snow Thrower for 2 full seasons now and could not be happier. We moved in to a house with a long driveway about 3 years ago which makes this a necessity. This is my first time using or owning a Snow Thrower. We had more snow the first season but have used this probably 12-15 times on all types of snow- wet, dry, heavy, etc. It has been used on as little as an inch of snow to about 22 inches in drifts. It has been effective on all types and depths of snow. The first year we had at least 5 snows of 10 inches or more and the unit had no problem clearing the drive and walks It is so easy to start (first pull every time) that I have not even used the electric start. I recently went to start the Blower to use up the extra gas in the tank and it started on the first pull. It throws snow a great distance and the chute is adjustable enough to get the snow where you need it. I don't have any real complaints. It would be nice to have a better way to empty the gas during the off-season like a drain valve; the handles are not heated but that seems like a luxury; you do have to manhandle it occasionally when maneuvering but I expected that. It does have a tendency to "hop" (the front comes up) a bit when you are starting a new row or section but moving the speed down or starting back a bit further fixes that issue. So far, I haven't had any mechanical issues with it. Overall, this Snow Thrower does exactly what i need it to- moves large amounts of snow off our driveway and walks. I would definitely buy this again and have been thrilled with the time it saves clearing the driveway!

Can not get to run right
I bought the unit in September. Finally got snow to try it in December. Unit goes about 40 feet and turns off. Sent it off to repair and got it back and it still does the same thing. Unit has not done more than half a driveway yet. All they want to do is send out for another 3 weeks to try and repair. Do not buy unit before you need or they will not replace it if outside the first 30 days. All Sears wants to do is say that I should have bought extended warrenttee, even though it is covered by original. They never want to talk about how it has not worked from the time it got cold enough. Very poor product and will not stand behind it.

fantastic

My MTD snow blower blower of 19 years has finally showed its age. No I have not given up on that old fellow yet. Will try to fix it next spring. In the meantime I have just purchased this snow blower. Looked in the manual and it is made by MTD for Sears. The engine is a Briggs and Stratton. What a fantastic machine, electric start 208 cc engine ( wish I knew the HP of this. The extra long discharge for snow is very nice. I was lucky enough to get this on sale for $599.99 with free financing for 2 years. In closing I have to mention that I looked at my receipt from 19 years ago and the price was exactly the same as this one. This is a fantastic price even at the new price.

Good Bargain

My previous Craftsman Snow Blower gave me ten years of good service with no mechanical issues, only routine maintenance. So when the time came to retire it I knew Craftsman was the one to buy. We've only had a small amount of snow fall so far, and the new Snow Blower handled it well. It is very easy to handle, yet it is very capable of moving snow. The harsh upstate New York winter will be the big test when it gets here. We average 150 to 200 inches of snow every year, so a capable machine is a necessity of life. I believe I have one.

New Snowblower

I had bought this snow blower to replace my existing fourwheeler with plow where the winch has stopped working. I will say that this machine cleans the driveway up so much better even if it takes me 20 minutes longer.

24" Craftsman snowblower

Bought this item during the last snow fall to replacean old Snapper blower that was just to tired. The store employees loaded it right up for me which was quite nice. I took it home and assembled it in about 20 minutes. Checked the oil, gassed it up and was on my way to clearing the drive and sidewalk. It is fairly easy to maneuver and does a great job of throwing the snow. Starting was also easy even using the rope pull start. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend especially if it is on sale. The feature and price were the biggest factors when making this purchase. this item also seems to be be a quality product

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Snowblower

My Snowblower came packaged very safely. There was plenty of adequate cushioning to prevent any damage. The instruction manual was very well laid out and easy to follow directions. Total time for assembly was less than 30 minutes. After filling with gas it started immediately without any problems. Great purchase and ready for Mother Nature.

Craftsman 24" 208cc Snowblower

I purchased this product after looking at them for many years. I have a medium size driveway with a moderate slope. With my age and medical status, I definitely needed a self propelled, 2-stage model. Being a retired retired engineer, I thoroughly researched what was available from several different sources before selecting this model from Sears. I have only had a chance to use it once on a small snow but it worked great. It was easy to start, change chute direction, etc. and cleaned my driveway really well. I actually am looking forward to our next snow!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Value

I researched many snow blowers and for the money this one I think is the best! It was delivered in one box and required two easy steps to assemble: 1) fold up and tighten the handles, and 2) attach the snow thrower. I had it together in no time. The electric start fired up the engine in an instant, or you can can start it up with one pull with the manual handle. So far I am very pleased with my purchase.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
