      Product Description

Dual-Stage Snowblower Makes Clearing Snow Quick and Easy

Put away your old snow shovel and start clearing your driveway and walkways with a Craftsman 24' Snowblower. This easy-to-handle 24 in. tool has a powerful 4-cycle, 208cc OHV engine that easily moves blows snow out of your way in less than half the time it takes to shovel out a driveway the old-fashioned way. The state-of-the-art design includes an easy push button electric starting switch that gets you started immediately, even in the most frigid temperatures-no tedious mixing of gas and oil.

The Dual-Stage Snowblower has an impressive 24 in. clearing width that gets the job done fast, even when you're clearing oversized driveways and large porches and decks. To remove packed snow, sludge and ice, engage the 12 in. serrated steel auger or 12 in. impeller to break up the masses and blow them out of your way. With 8 different speeds, 6 forward and 2 backward, you can easily adjust the thrower to clear light to heavy snowfall all over your property.

      • Craftsman 24' Snowblower is equipped with an EZ rotation chute to quickly and easily direct icy deposits anywhere you aim.
      • Extra long chute gives better aim and reduces snow blowing back on the operator.
      • Large 13 in. x 4 in. X-Trac tires keep the tool steady for extra maneuverability and safety.
      • Easy-grip handle is easy to operate while wearing gloves or mittens.
      • Plow handles increase control and reduce pressure on legs and lower back.

      Fantastic
I've had this Snow Thrower for 2 full seasons now and could not be happier. We moved in to a house with a long driveway about 3 years ago which makes this a necessity. This is my first time using or owning a Snow Thrower. We had more snow the first season but have used this probably 12-15 times on all types of snow- wet, dry, heavy, etc. It has been used on as little as an inch of snow to about 22 inches in drifts. It has been effective on all types and depths of snow. The first year we had at least 5 snows of 10 inches or more and the unit had no problem clearing the drive and walks It is so easy to start (first pull every time) that I have not even used the electric start. I recently went to start the Blower to use up the extra gas in the tank and it started on the first pull. It throws snow a great distance and the chute is adjustable enough to get the snow where you need it. I don't have any real complaints. It would be nice to have a better way to empty the gas during the off-season like a drain valve; the handles are not heated but that seems like a luxury; you do have to manhandle it occasionally when maneuvering but I expected that. It does have a tendency to "hop" (the front comes up) a bit when you are starting a new row or section but moving the speed down or starting back a bit further fixes that issue. So far, I haven't had any mechanical issues with it. Overall, this Snow Thrower does exactly what i need it to- moves large amounts of snow off our driveway and walks. I would definitely buy this again and have been thrilled with the time it saves clearing the driveway!

Can not get to run right
I bought the unit in September. Finally got snow to try it in December. Unit goes about 40 feet and turns off. Sent it off to repair and got it back and it still does the same thing. Unit has not done more than half a driveway yet. All they want to do is send out for another 3 weeks to try and repair. Do not buy unit before you need or they will not replace it if outside the first 30 days. All Sears wants to do is say that I should have bought extended warrenttee, even though it is covered by original. They never want to talk about how it has not worked from the time it got cold enough. Very poor product and will not stand behind it.

      Excellent for the Price

I owned an older craftsman 29" cut last season and gave that one away when I moved to a house with a smaller driveway. Bought this 24" cut after the first blizzard up here, and it performed well throughout all storms. I needed a 24" to fit in a small crawlspace storage area out of season, and the handlebars on this unit are easy to fold down after removing a few screws and pins. I was regularly using this blower to push through snow drifts upwards of 3ft. Granted, most of the snow this winter was light and fluffy so it had no problem. Wet snow at the end of the driveway doesn't throw 40ft with this machine, but it'll throw it 15 to 20ft which is much better than shoveling. The chute is plastic, but I haven't had an issue on this new machine or my older unit that also had a plastic chute. The forward speeds worked fine for me. I found that speed 1 is good for deep snow, and 3 or 4 is good for a few inches of snow. Both reverse speeds are too slow. Fortunately, the machine is small enough to easily just pull it backwards instead of using the gear. Starts easy with the pull start and I haven't had any issues with it running.

5 years and still runs like new

This is an awesome snow blower. I have changed the oil once a year for heavy seasons and skipped a year for light ones. Follow the instructions for choke and pumping and it starts on first or second pull every time. Excellent range of engine settings. Light and easy to move around (poly chute makes it lighter and in my opinion better). Pretty much drives itself (6 front and 2 reverse gears). The only issue I have had is that if I stop it after 1-2 hours of snow-blowing, I need to use the electric option to restart (I might be doing something wrong/flooding the engine). My friends Ariens died and mine still goes on...

      Great Snow Blower

I bought this snow blower in January 2015. I have used it twice, both times with in the past week. This last snow was about 10 inches and very wet and heavy. This machine proformed wonderfully. I tried the electric start before the first snow and it started rite up. I wanted to make sure it would run while still under warranty. Since I've put it into action, I've started it on the first pull by hand both times. I have a steep driveway and it has pulled the steep slope while blowing snow without any hesitation. I do recommend using a traction aid on your boots if your on a slope or hill for your safety. I did my homework on snow blowers and decided on the Craftsman for the money I wanted to spend. So far, I couldn't be happier.

      Best purchase ever!

I love this snow blower! I had never owned one, and researched before buying anything. My driveway drifts really bad during the winter- to the point of not being able to get through with 4 wheel drive. It plows right through 3 foot drifts with no problem. I love that it throws the snow far enough to not create piles along the drive. Easy operation, easy start.

      Stay away

Bought this in fall 2013. Worked great for 2013/2014 winter. Brought it out in 2014 winter and it started leaking gas. When trying to start it now makes a grinding noise. It no longer starts or runs, gas put into it leaks out and it seems there is nothing we can do about it. IF I COULD FIGURE OUT HOW TO GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD.

      Much better than a shovel!

This dual-stage snowblower is so Much better than a shovel!!! I used to have a single stage snowblower that would always get clogged and sometimes I felt like it would just be easier to shovel, but with this craftsman dual-stage it's so much easier to get through the snow and I haven't had to deal with repeated clogging.

Really worked well with the heavy snow

Its a strong machine. The controls take a bit getting used to. Picking the correct forward speed will be easier as time goes on. I drop it 1 star even though I've only used it twice due to the fact that I have already bent one of the augers. Not so bad it doesn't work but I noticed this after I hit a small branch that had come down in high winds and was buried by snow. It wasn't so big that my lawn mower wouldn't survive if it happened to go over it. I will be submitting a parts request to replace that at some point this month.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
