Dual-Stage Snowblower Makes Clearing Snow Quick and Easy
Put away your old snow shovel and start clearing your driveway and walkways with a Craftsman 24' Snowblower. This easy-to-handle 24 in. tool has a powerful 4-cycle, 208cc OHV engine that easily moves blows snow out of your way in less than half the time it takes to shovel out a driveway the old-fashioned way. The state-of-the-art design includes an easy push button electric starting switch that gets you started immediately, even in the most frigid temperatures-no tedious mixing of gas and oil.
The Dual-Stage Snowblower has an impressive 24 in. clearing width that gets the job done fast, even when you're clearing oversized driveways and large porches and decks. To remove packed snow, sludge and ice, engage the 12 in. serrated steel auger or 12 in. impeller to break up the masses and blow them out of your way. With 8 different speeds, 6 forward and 2 backward, you can easily adjust the thrower to clear light to heavy snowfall all over your property.
- Craftsman 24' Snowblower is equipped with an EZ rotation chute to quickly and easily direct icy deposits anywhere you aim.
- Extra long chute gives better aim and reduces snow blowing back on the operator.
- Large 13 in. x 4 in. X-Trac tires keep the tool steady for extra maneuverability and safety.
- Easy-grip handle is easy to operate while wearing gloves or mittens.
- Plow handles increase control and reduce pressure on legs and lower back.

Consumer Reports called this a ********. I purchased in December 2013 right before a record winter. Simple to assemble, start and use. When my neighbor's machines failed in January they all used mine and everyone was happy. Definitely the best Crafstman power tool i have ever purchased.

I've had this Snow Thrower for 2 full seasons now and could not be happier. We moved in to a house with a long driveway about 3 years ago which makes this a necessity. This is my first time using or owning a Snow Thrower. We had more snow the first season but have used this probably 12-15 times on all types of snow- wet, dry, heavy, etc. It has been used on as little as an inch of snow to about 22 inches in drifts. It has been effective on all types and depths of snow. The first year we had at least 5 snows of 10 inches or more and the unit had no problem clearing the drive and walks It is so easy to start (first pull every time) that I have not even used the electric start. I recently went to start the Blower to use up the extra gas in the tank and it started on the first pull. It throws snow a great distance and the chute is adjustable enough to get the snow where you need it. I don't have any real complaints. It would be nice to have a better way to empty the gas during the off-season like a drain valve; the handles are not heated but that seems like a luxury; you do have to manhandle it occasionally when maneuvering but I expected that. It does have a tendency to "hop" (the front comes up) a bit when you are starting a new row or section but moving the speed down or starting back a bit further fixes that issue. So far, I haven't had any mechanical issues with it. Overall, this Snow Thrower does exactly what i need it to- moves large amounts of snow off our driveway and walks. I would definitely buy this again and have been thrilled with the time it saves clearing the driveway!
When we purchased this item it was either not assembled correctly or had a defect in the fuel system. It leaked gasoline all over staining our epoxy garage floor. We spent an hour getting through to someone from Sears to help us. Then the service center was unable to come and get it for 2 weeks. I was mostly disappointed with the customer service.

Breaks down at least once a year with the same problem. Bought it with the extended warranty but they would not replace it. They said it isn't a lemon unless it has at least four major breakdowns a year. Very disappointed with this product. Not the same quality of my parents snow thrower.
Bought this item because of Consumer Reports "********" rating. I wasn't looking for all the bells and whistles (headlights, hand warming grips, push button shoot control) just something to clear the walkways and clean up after the snowplow. It's everything I expected. It handles compacted snowplow snow banks (we have a lot of them) very well and flies through fresh powder. Only drawback is the low undercarriage which sometimes rides up on heavily compacted snow banks. A quick reverse and second pass takes care of that. If you don't want to spend $12K or more for something you're only going to use 3-4 months a year, and want a 24" wide powerhouse, this is the machine to get.

I bought this because of the good reviews. It's handle to turn on the auger and fan broke the first day.We are in Peoria Illinois, Large town. No parts store, order them online. Take the blower in and wait a minimum of two weeks for repair. The parts breakdown is wrong so the part I ordered was wrong and sending it back cost more than the shipping. I made my own to get by. The sales clerk says " the only way to get around this problem is to buy the in home repair warranty, and no you can not buy parts from that guy". Never again will I buy from Sears. Buy only from small dealers who have repair shops and will get you parts or can repair in house. The in home repair warranty is way too expensive.

This winter was a had one and our craftsman snow blower went out after 13 year. We had good use from it but it was time. So we purchased the Craftsman 24 In dual stage. It is great! it doesn't take much to work it. It definitely can handle the snow. It is easy to use and cleans up nicely. i recommend this for anyone, any age,
It took less time to assembly and get ready then the 2 hours noted in the instructions. I used the snow blower 4 times the first week I had it on my 100 foot drive and 50 feet of walks ways. It used to take me over 2 hours and now only a 1/2 hour. I have only used the very easy pull start and will try the electric start next time. It did not come with a electric cord.
