Dual-Stage Snow Thrower Makes Clearing Snow Quick and Easy
Put away your old snow shovel and start clearing your driveway and walkways with a Craftsman 24' Snow Thrower. This easy-to-handle 24 in. tool has a powerful 4-cycle, 208cc OHV engine that easily moves blows snow out of your way in less than half the time it takes to shovel out a driveway the old-fashioned way. The state-of-the-art design includes an easy push button electric starting switch that gets you started immediately, even in the most frigid temperatures-no tedious mixing of gas and oil.
The Dual-Stage Snow Thrower has an impressive 24 in. clearing width that gets the job done fast, even when you're clearing oversized driveways and large porches and decks. To remove packed snow, sludge and ice, engage the 12 in. serrated steel auger or 12 in. impeller to break up the masses and blow them out of your way. With 8 different speeds, 6 forward and 2 backward, you can easily adjust the thrower to clear light to heavy snowfall all over your property.
- Craftsman 24' Snow Thrower is equipped with an EZ rotation chute to quickly and easily direct icy deposits anywhere you aim.
- Extra long chute gives better aim and reduces snow blowing back on the operator.
- Large 13 in. x 4 in. X-Trac tires keep the tool steady for extra maneuverability and safety.
- Easy-grip handle is easy to operate while wearing gloves or mittens.
- Plow handles increase control and reduce pressure on legs and lower back.

This is my 3rd season with this model. The engine runs great, starts extremely easy even without the electric start. Now for the real story, you have to leave the choke partially on for smooth operation. if snow is slushy it does not throw it worth beans. As for the joystick operation of the shoot, BIGGEST JOKE EVER. Operation is very loose and sloppy. Most of the time you need 2 hands just to get movement started. I have replaced the pin at least 30x. I have tried 5 different pins including cotter pins, shear pin clips and even nails. I cannot keep ANYTHING in this fitting for more than 3-4 uses tops. The bottom pin has only broke 1ce, the top pin is the worst, very hard to get to and not much room to turn so finding something to replace it with is very limited. My last model was an Agway and I miss it tremendously. Definately read the negative reviews before purchasing.
I had a simple one stage before this model, and this year's record snowfall in Indianapolis was too much for the small unit. I purchased this unit several weeks ago and have used it three times to clear three driveways. The power of the two stages to grind and throw the snow and the ease of overall use have are very impressive. This is a good looking machine that performs well. I have been using the pull starter and the unit fires up with just a few pulls after the right amount of choke and pumps of the gas bulb.

Purchased this craftsman snow blower 1 day before a huge snow storm.Tried all the big box stores they none, told me come back next year. The very last place I tried was ************,they had 1 left for 679 dollars. It was the best 679 I ever spent. Not easy to turn but none of them are. This is my first snow blower and I'm so happy I punched a Craftsman.

Since purchasing this a few weeks ago, we've had several 8+ snowfalls. It works really great on fresh fallen snow! The only problem we've had has been with the really heavy snow where it's compacted and the chute gets clogged, but that's a problem with the snow not the blower. The only other issue I have is that it doesn't go all the way down to the concrete, so when it gets really cold, it forms ice.
I have done a prior review under a different screen name, and this is a follow up to that as well as adding additional info. I have now used this snowblower on light, fluffy snow, heavy wet/slushy snow and snow that has melted and refrozen, and it has excelled on all. On the refrozen mess, the street plow had compressed a solid ridge about 15" high x 3' wide and 25' long across the end of my driveway. I had to use a garden shovel to break the snow/ice wall into beach ball sized chunks, and the snow blower moved these effectively as well, throwing them perhaps 10'-12' or so. Still very happy with the machine.

I purchased this item yesterday and used it last night to clear 6" of wet snow. It throws the snow very far, is easy to control, and it cleared the 18' of snow and ice from the bottom of the driveway. I liked the different speeds. So far so good.
