      Very good quality

I finally decided to break down and spend a little money on a good socket set, and this one fits the bill perfectly.  I've had so many of the cheap $10 sets that break that I had all kinds of pieces left over and never could find what I needed.  This set keeps it all in one place, and I doubt I'll ever need anything other than what it has in it.  Stick a set of screwdrivers in the top compartment and I'm good to go.  The case is a little flimsy, and I'll heed everyone's warning that it comes open easily and put a strap of some sort around it.  I love this set...

      Great Tools..Horrible Toolbox
I bought this toolbox set for my husband and the actual tools are great. He has to purchase high quality tools for his occupation and he is really strong. I have watched him snap wrench and things before. Anyway, the toolbox is a awful. It has plastic latches to hold in those heavy duty tools..stupid. When he moves it the front plastic latches always some open and he drops all of the tools..each and every one of them and it is rediculous. I feel so sorry for him and I hate it bought it for him. They need to get a more sturdy toolbox and replace this one.

Need to send back to China!

First tool used was the 1/4" ratchet. Well, tried to. It would tighten but the ratcheting function would not work to loosen a nut. It took almost 20 minutes of working the lever back and forth to get it unjammed. The stud that the sockets attach to just wobbles around in the handle. I don't think there is any lubricant in the mechanism. I am afraid to use the rest of the tools and am considering returning the whole kit. This kit is definitely not up to Sears standards (unless Sears has dramatically lowered their standards). I wish I still had my first Sears tool kit that I bought as a 18 year old soldier in 1971! Now those were tight, quality tools. Sears, shame on you!!!!!

      Real time saver!!

Have had this set for about 4 years now. I do a lot of basic work on the cars at home on the weekends, brakes, water pumps, etc. This set has saved me untold hours of time going back and forth to the tool box. Depending on the size of the job (1/8" -1/2") I grab that tray and set it next to me, many times under the car. 99% of what I need is at my fingertips!! When done, all the sockets almost fall right back into place making cleanup simple and easy. And you will never misplace or lose a socket again because in 2 seconds you know if everything is there!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great to keep in the car

My girlfriend bought this for me as a gift for a set of tools to keep in my car as all of my tools are at my job, This set minus a few things has everything you would need to do basic jobs on your own car or a friends. All you need to do is get a few other supplement sets of maybe better ratchets or screwdrivers and defiantly pliers and hammers but other then that it is a great set to keep in the car because of the variety of sockets and other assorted tools.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Great value, highly recommend

Bought this set recently as an early fathers day gift (thanks hun!) I save money by fixing things and keeping what i got running so naturally i am constantly tooling on things. I needed a tool set that i could move to the area i needed and not have to make multiple trips to my tool bench. I also needed to have a wide range of tools so i wouldn't be stranded needing the right tool for the job. This set is the biggest set of tools i could find that was still able to be carried easily (kinda heavy, naturally). Throw in the fact that the wrenches are all ratcheting and i was sold. Also the lifetime warranty is a big bonus. The box is plastic which i prefer (metal boxes rust and get dirty so fast, also metal fatigues over time and unless you are willing to buy a real expensive tool box, metal tool boxes in this price range just wont last), every tool has a molded slot that it fits into. I should also note that the slots are not designed to squeeze the tools to "snap" them in place. This is preferred as it doesn't take effort to take a socket out or put back, thus it is easiest to simply put tools back in their place between uses (if you have had other portable "tri fold" sets you know what i mean). On the flip side, if this tool set tips over, have fun re-organizing everything. There is a little area under the wrenches in the top of the case to put some specialty tools you might want to have handy, crescent wrench, pliers, vice grips, etc. Though, you will want to be specific on what you put there as there is not a lot of room. I would not buy this as a tool set to put in the trunk of your car, for one it is over kill, for two it is heavy, three it takes up a considerable amount of space, four it is quite a valuable item, and lastly if it tips over you might end up with a tool tornado in the back of your car. This really is a home use tool set that gives you pretty much all the tools you will need to keep your machines running as well as provide the much needed support you need when you travel to fix the in-laws car or when you take your super old RV on a road trip. In closing, This tool set should last a lifetime as long as you take care of it and don't toss it around and respect it for what it is. It's not a portable tool set, its a tool set that you can transport to your job site...

      Good Set, Very Good Value

Decided it was time to step up from my mix & match set and get organized. Considered ******, HD, HF, and Sears and happily settled on this. Yes, the box is plastic and the set is heavy..but common sense should dictate not putting too much faith in the handle. Brought it on a week long road trip and everything stayed put. Works well on my tool bench which is where it sits >99% of the time. Con: Wish the Allen Keys came with one of those plastic "organizer sleeves" so I didn't have to fiddle around trying to find the right one. Pros: Everything else.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Nice Tool Set

I bought this set on sale. The tools are great. The set is very handy and all it needed was a screwdriver set to be complete. However, as has been noted, the tool box is another matter. On the way out to the garage, the doors opened and spilled the 1/2 and 3/8 tool drawers all over the ground. I like the idea of taking a set from the box to the vehicle I'm working on, but I don't like the tool box. The drawers and tools are great, the box is not. Craftsman, redesign the tool box and you'll have a winner.
