This Craftsman blower is the best! It is very Powerful and moves stuff with a pull of the trigger! I have never had any problems starting this craftsman blower. I thought I would only use it a few times a year but I was wrong I use it everytime I do yardwork. Its great for the grass clipping on the sidewalk. I love it so much I would (If I could) dust my inside with it. NO CONS from me!
Purchased the blower 7179477 Feb. 18 2012. Today is June 23 2012 and the re-coil is broken. I used the blower maybe 20-25 times during this time. I also purchased the extended warranty because the salesman told me that no matter what happened to the unit I could bring it in and get a replacement free of charge. When I took the blower back they told me that they have to send it out to the repair center and if it's not cost efficient they will replace it, if not it will be repaired in a couple weeks. I have purchased numerous Sears/Craftsman products, but after the service I received tonight I will never walk into a Sears store again.

Have sent this to be repaired and has never run. DO NOT buy. Thought Craftsman was good brand but this one has proved to be a real lemon.

I will never again buy a gas powered craftsman tool. Before making this purchase I read some of the negative reviews and assumed my attention to maintenance and care would result in a long lasting craftsman tool. This is not the case with this piece of junk. If you happen to get one season problem free you can count on it being the last. From that point forward you will spend more time troubleshooting and repairing than you will spend using this blower and from what I've read almost any new craftsman blower. From this point forward I will gladly spend a few extra bucks for anything but craftsman which is really sad since I use to not even shop around back when you could count on craftsman quality AND warranty.....a thing of the past.

the good...blows ok starts ok. the bad... didn't even have it for two years!now it's dead. I've used lawn equiptment for many years. I always use fresh gas and correct oil mix.had to replace cylinder and piston assembly.after putting back together it started and ran fine for one use.then the flywheel broke, replaced with new one, now today it's broke again. TOTAL piece of junk! don't buy it.

Had a Craftsman blower 10 years ago, was never easy to start warm but got by with it, did good vacuum job. Got new one today and even worse to restart warm, and to convert to vacuum was major pain compared to old one. Picked up small pile of leaves and locked up, had to stop after less than 5 minutes and play with it to get chopper spinning again. Worst part, went in position to vacuum, leaked gas on me and sidewalk-terrible design!!! Put it back in the box and took it right back to the store for refund. Will look at buying a Stihl instead.

Rope pull is too long and needs to be half pull. If the engine floods it is almost impossible to start. Out of the box it worked OK, but 2nd day, I pulled the starter 300 times. Never ran more than 20 secs before quitting. I finally quit. Makes me wonder if I should have bought and Echo or Toro.

To use the vacuum function I could not find a comfortable position for the bag or method to hold the unit. I ended up smelling like gas. Vacuum works fine, unit started easily but just plain uncomfortable to hold or use with vacuum attachment

After initial problems starting, it was returned to Sears for Service. Now it runs perfectly and does a GREAT job. Especially with reducing the volume of leaves as it picks them up
