This Craftsman blower is the best! It is very Powerful and moves stuff with a pull of the trigger! I have never had any problems starting this craftsman blower. I thought I would only use it a few times a year but I was wrong I use it everytime I do yardwork. Its great for the grass clipping on the sidewalk. I love it so much I would (If I could) dust my inside with it. NO CONS from me!
Purchased the blower 7179477 Feb. 18 2012. Today is June 23 2012 and the re-coil is broken. I used the blower maybe 20-25 times during this time. I also purchased the extended warranty because the salesman told me that no matter what happened to the unit I could bring it in and get a replacement free of charge. When I took the blower back they told me that they have to send it out to the repair center and if it's not cost efficient they will replace it, if not it will be repaired in a couple weeks. I have purchased numerous Sears/Craftsman products, but after the service I received tonight I will never walk into a Sears store again.
Shipping amazing. We were surprised to receive it within two days! My husband assembled it and used it the same day. He was very impressed with how well it cleaned the gutters and blew leaves out of our rock garden without blowing the rocks. He was also impressed with the vacuum and lightweight product with lots of power.
I am sort of lazy and try to find an easy and quick way to do just about everything. I purchased this blower because of its lite wight in case my day gets long. A lazy girl need not have a heavy tool. The price was great on sale in the store but even better online. And my rewards made it even less. This tool even muches the leaves. And, this 2-cycle by gas.

l like the power of this Craftsman blower. I bought it to replace my old craftsmans blower which lasted for 10 years. With this new blower I can walk at a steady pace and blow the leaves across my yard. I am able to finish is half the time. Great product Ken

No kiddin' , really ! Same buying scenario , at the time I purchased my original Craftsman blower vac . That model was also the most powerful handheld available , and a best value . Over the course of ownership , the cylinder head needed to be retorqued once . Fast foward : 11/23/2013 . After an abyssmally frustrating , and inconsiderately inconvenient store pickup experience , consuming some two hours or better .I was finally ALLOWED to take possession of Craftsman 79477 , 215MPH / 470 CFM handheld leaf blower/vac . Having read an inordinate number of reviews warning of limited service life , I followed the funmdementals of bringing a new motor into service . The spark plug was removed and inspected before spraying WD-40 into the cylinder bore . Before reinstalling spark plug , cranked engine over a few revolutions to disttribute lube in cylinder . This prevents initial scoring of cylinder bore , inviting premature failure . Increased spark plug gap .0002 to increase spark duration and replaced . Primer bulb six slow plunges . Clicked to start , pulled cord , started robustly on third pull and ran impressively smooth . My old unit was no slouch , but this model has almost the same output at just above idle ! Currently the most powerful handheld available at this pricepoint , The 79477 is also no poser . It has POWER . At 25 cc , the engine outdisplaces most of its competition by 1 or more cc . In this category of engine , that makes the 79477 "Hi-performance " . As such , lo grade fuels , and cheap lubricants should be avoided . Very impressive out of the box . Cleared my 110 foot driveway in very little time ! Hopefully lightnin' has struck twice !

A bit heavy for me and not quite so effective As I had hoped but does work! In the past I have purchased less expressive blowers which on reflection. Worked better for me until the were impossible to start!

Just upgraded to this model because the description states that the engine will last longer due to the throttle setting on the handle. It makes it easier to set a controlled volume of air without holding the throttle. Nice if you want a low outflow of air, but so far I always use the highest setting. Hopefully the engine holds out longer as stated.
I purchased this unit approximately 3 weeks ago and I have used it 3 times. This is an extremely powerful tool. This is my first gas powered blower and I am so happy that I purchased this one over some of the others I looked at. I live on a corner lot and with the wind blowing it would have been difficult with my electric one. This unit gave me the ability to use it at a slower speed as to not get the leaves up in the wind, but the power to move some large piles. I would recommend this unit to anyone that is looking for a unit that will do the job.
After 12 months blower would not start. Sears did replace with another unit. Unfortunately it failed after just two tanks of gas. Brought to a pro-repair shop for diagnosis: Unit is factory setup to meet California emission standard and runs too lean. Motor needs to be rebuilt. This is the first Craftsman product that I have ever had an issue.
Very tempermental. Started and ran for about 3 minutes. Never started again. The gas was fresh. No outward signs of problems. the customer service rep said to replace the spark plug. Replace the plus in a new blower?? He suggested I try it before taking in back. Seem easier just to return it.
