This Craftsman blower is the best! It is very Powerful and moves stuff with a pull of the trigger! I have never had any problems starting this craftsman blower. I thought I would only use it a few times a year but I was wrong I use it everytime I do yardwork. Its great for the grass clipping on the sidewalk. I love it so much I would (If I could) dust my inside with it. NO CONS from me!
Purchased the blower 7179477 Feb. 18 2012. Today is June 23 2012 and the re-coil is broken. I used the blower maybe 20-25 times during this time. I also purchased the extended warranty because the salesman told me that no matter what happened to the unit I could bring it in and get a replacement free of charge. When I took the blower back they told me that they have to send it out to the repair center and if it's not cost efficient they will replace it, if not it will be repaired in a couple weeks. I have purchased numerous Sears/Craftsman products, but after the service I received tonight I will never walk into a Sears store again.
Purchased yesterday and first of all it would not start. Took over 30 minutes to start. Then i would clog w/ any size leaves. Once i turned off to empty bag it would not start. I got out the rake instead and finished quicker then messing w/ this POS. I will but a ECHO next time, and I am returning this one today. Do Not recommend this.

In forty years of using two-stroke powered hand held yard equipment (saws, trimmers, blowers, etc) this blower is the easiest to start of anything I've used and that's saying something. No more than three pulls cold and one pull hot. I can't believe how easy it starts. The blower has good power (it will push a brick on concrete) and is not too noisy. The vac works OK and mulches well but seems a little awkward to use, at least for me. I had to only give it only four stars because it is a little on the heavy side, about two pounds more than a lot of others, but I can live with that. This blower is not cheap and in fact an entry level Stihl blower is about the same price but comes with no vac and has less power. But no hand held blower could start and run better than this one at any price.
I use it primarily as a Vac. It works great for picking up leaves out of the mulch and if your'e careful it will not take the mulch. I also use it in my garage and drive way to pick up that little bit of grass and stuff after mowing. I use the blower function for clearing gutters around my pool through the screen. Power - Power - Power.
I had it less than 1 year and it quit running. I bought it on sale thinking I got a great deal. I took it to Sears and they sent it in to be fixed. I got it back with in 2 weeks, but since it is winter, I have yet to try and start it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but not holding my breath. I was told by a Sears rep. that when it comes to the small engine items such as this blower, you may want to purchase another brand. Looking at some of the other reviews, I now agree.
Purchased a second one of the same model, after getting two years out of first one before piston ring failed (beyond repair). Thought I would use the parts from the old one to hopefully keep the new one running longer than two years. However, the new one failed immediately after the 30-day return period had expired, after only a couple hours of non-continuous service. Should have known better. So, it's now up to me to drive 30 miles to get an essentially new blower repaired. As a result, I've had it with Sears and Craftsman products. Will purchase them "no more."
This blower/vacuum really does the job. It starts easily and has plenty of power. Definitely looking forward to using it on our 140 foot driveway instead of dragging around multiple extension cords like we've done in the past!

This is a great item, works great, doesn't stall or gives any trouble. Starts easy, works very efficiently, and gets the job done. It's easy to store both inside and outside and doenst take much time to put together. The engine is a good engine, which produces a lot of power.
This baby has a lot of power. I bought this for my father in law who has a small landscaping business. I used it just the other day to clean up the yard. I noticed that I works really well. I blows with lots of power. Don't really have to go over to make the area clean. I am looking forward to purchasing one of my own in the near future. I have one but it is electric and right away was happy with the fact that I didn't have to haul the cord around or have to plug and unplug every which way. I am very happy with this product and of course was able to score some points with wife for making her dad happy too... Two birds, one stone. lol!
Bought this for the vac feature, as we have a lot of areas where leaves get "stuck." Works as well as expected. If leaves are wet, the bag gets, heavy, though. Otherwise the weight is manageable, even during extended (1 - 1.5 hour) sessions. The effectiveness of the blower was an added plus. It was much more maneuverable than my backpack blower, and at least as strong. I can't attest to durability, but out-of-the-box quality was very good. Starting system is also very effective, though most 2-cycle tools these days start fairly easily. "Cruise control" is a nice feature, but it wasn't all that helpful to me.
